What owners report

I purchased the vehicle in July 2024. I drove the car for 10 days, and when I was driving 65 mph, the check engine light blinked three times and then went off. After that, the engine made a sound that was not there before. I took the vehicle to the dealership and they had the car for many weeks, concluding that the lifters broke and the engine needed to be replaced. The dealership said they replaced the engine and the car was returned to me towards the end of August. Since then, the AC has been worked on three different times in the past year and on the third attempt, there is finally cool air coming out of the driver's air vents. The driver's seat AC blowers malfunctioned and were repaired. The dealership put the original engine's belt back on and then broke. The electric system inside glitches from time to time when you first start the car. …

I drove my car on Saturday and nothing was wrong with it. I opened my car door on Monday morning or work and my driver side seat was twisted. There was no warning signs nothing. The dealership said that a rod is not working probably. I have had two other yukons and drove them for almost 10 years and never had this issue. This is my third one and only has 41,000 miles and has been to dealership to be serviced. This should not have happened. According to research I have done it states that there were some TSBs on mechanical failures in the seats. I was directed to ask for the dealership to contact GM goodwill assistance on my behave since I have been a loyal GM customer. This is a serious safety concern if this would have happened while I was driving.

The A/C has quick working. We took it in to get fixed, they could find nothing wrong except low on freon. Replaced and it is gone (has dye in it & no detection where it has gone). I didn't drive this car for 6 mos. Because of this (too hot). I can't afford to fix everything that is going wrong on this car. Same day A/C went out, the heat system went out on the driver's side seat. Just blows cold air! This is ridiculous! The suspension is now slamming hard and super loud (especially when it is cool/cold out). I am glad they are finally fixing the brake issue but really? All this other bs on this expensive car? The day we got back from shop for the A/C, the driver side brake light was out. Omg!! Talk about expensive to repair!! 650-800 for just the light assembly through GMC and that is reconditioned parts! Why would we put more crap parts in? …

The heated seats do not heat up. The car was in the shop for this problem within the 1st 1000K miles. They told me to "be patient" and they'll get warm. The car has been in the shop a total of 7 days for the seats not working and I have yet to get it resolved. Emailed the ceo of GM and got a phone call from a person who stated GM considers the seats are working although they don't work most of the time and when they do get some sort of heat (the shop told me they got one seat to heat up to 87 degrees! Wow!) it is intermittent and uneven. The seats haven't worked at all in the last 3 weeks and the average temp hasn't been above 32 degrees. I spent a fortune for this car and I can't get anyone at the dealership nor in detroit to acknowledge this car is a lemon or they have a design flaw since they switched to blowers from heated coils. …

Engine coolant is usually water-based, and may also be oil. A three-valve-per-cylinder was originally slated for the LS7, and was abandoned imputable to design complexities. E85 ethanol should is an understatement to the 'war on fossil fuels.' The L98 is a modified version of the L76, with increased power and reduced redundant hardware. A Vee engine is common configurations of internal combustion consisting of two cylinder banks connected to a common crankshaft.

The seat caught on fire while the car was running. My child was sleeping and smoke was coming out from under his booster seat and his legs. I contacted GMC and they said this had never happened before and we should contact our insurance company, though, when we took it to the technicians at the dealership (for the inspection), they saw where two wires were on top of one another and the seat had caught on fire. This is a serious problem. I searched online and there are many stories out there, I am just not sure if people are reporting them---or if they realize that GMC makes similar cars so Cadillac, sierras, and other cars come from the same mold.

2011 Yukon · 120,000 miles · Aug 2018 · fire

Traveling at night, at 65 miles an hour in a 2007 Yukon sle2 4 dr wagon, I hit a steer (approximately 880lbs). Upon impact, the bottom of my power driver's seat moved forward and the back of the seat tilted forward, causing me to hit the steering wheel. I had to move the seat back to get out of the vehicle. The airbags did not deploy. I reported the incident to the dealer, and my insurance agent both verbally and in writing. The vehicle had over $11,000.00 worth of damage, but the repair center stated they were unable to find any damage to the seat. I traded the vehicle in, as I did not feel safe driving it with the seat not being replaced or repaired. The vehicle is now for sale again, and I am fearful that someone else will be in a wreck and the seat will malfunction again.

On June 28, 2006 while looking at a general motors corporation 2007 Yukon, with a retractable middle seat. I had the passenger's rear door opened looking inside at the interior. The salesman, without looking where I was, pushed the top console button above the front seats which caused the seat to quickly and very hard to retract, striking the left side of my neck, temporally stunning me. This is a very dangerous option that could seriously hurt someone not knowing how fast and hard this occurs. I also don't know if there is any safety feature that this could happen while a small child or infant was in the seat and someone accidentally pushed the button.
