Front brake calipers sticking causing premature wear out of pads and driver side rotor at ~11900 miles. After first repair, ~900 miles and three weeks later, while driving down a snow covered city hill ABS was engaged for a short period of time and then dash displayed a "brake failure" warning. After the message the front brakes locked up completely, causing loss of control of the vehicle and induced a slide of over 1000ft down the hill. Once the vehicle finally came to a stop, a loud sound was coming from the under carriage. Powering down the vehicle did not stop the sound. Restart of the vehicle displayed "service stabilitrack" and "service trailer brake" warnings. The ABS, traction control slippage, and brake lights also all stayed illuminated. Vehicle had to be towed to dealer as it was unsafe to drive. …

Vehicle shuts off and on when making a sharp turn. When reversing into a parking spot the trucks steering wheel got stiff and everything shut off off then on then off and on again. When reversing it did it twice more. Turning to get out of a car wash curve it shut off and on. Turning into my driveway it shut off and on (on two different occasions)

The new 2015 vehicle freezes up in full time 4wd mode and will not shift out. The dealer indicates that it is a "known problem by GM" and that they are "working on it". Their fix at this point is to have you run the vehicle in 2wd mode which is an obvious safety issue during our winter months as it is then a rear wheel drive vehicle being driven on icy roads.the other fix is to run it in 4wd mode but turn it into 2wd mode every time you turn the vehicle off. Obviously, many drivers will forget to do this and therefore my family at times is just running it in 2wd mode thereby incurring a risky driving situation. Despite numerous discussion, I have not been able to get any information on when the vehicle will be fixed.

I have had an on-going issue with the steering, electrical and power steering and stability control. I have had repeated issues with the stability control turning off, sudden drop in electrical power, the steering wheel gets violently yanked out of your hands and sometime the car completely cuts off. Fortunately most have been at slow speeds or else the car would have flipped. It is the exact same issue other models have been recalled for but my VIN is not included in that recall. I am afraid of this issue killing me or my loved ones should it happen at speed or leave us stuck in front of on coming traffic. According to my dealer this is an issue the manufacture has know about for a while.

While driving at approximately 65 MPH on a highway, the locks engaged, the radio shut down, power steering was lost, and the vehicle slowed down/braked on it's own. Thankfully we were able to move to the side of the road without getting hit. The only message on the dash was "service stabilitrack." the dealer and an independent mechanic have been unable to replicate the error message.

2014 Yukon · 109,000 miles · Jun 2020

Under normal driving the vehicle will go into "reduced engine power" mode while saying service stabilitrak and stabilitrak off. Give the code referencing a 5a reference. I have replaced the ECM 2x, the accelerator pedal assembly, throttle body entire, high pressure fuel sensor problem continues without remedy. Has happened to many times to count starting in dec 2008 to present
