I believe it was March,2022 or April,2022 my check engine light came On 20' before pulling into my driveway. I called "Protect My Car" insurance protection that I have, had my Edge towed to a repair shop and they said my antifreeze was leaking into my oil, that my water pump went out and said it was my fault as I neglected taking care of my vehicle and they have denied paying to fix it, even thought it is 100% covered. Not sure what to do as it only has 151,000 miles on it and the body is in good shape and clean inside. I had no idea the water pump went out. I'm not a mechanic and thought that's why I was paying them for problems like this. I need help to get it fixed and never neglected it or drove it after check engine light came on.

The internal water pump failed on my 2008 Ford Edge (3.5L V6), allowing coolant to leak into the engine oil. This caused catastrophic engine damage and complete engine failure. The water pump is internally mounted and driven by the timing chain. When it fails, coolant contaminates the oil, destroying the engine without adequate warning. There was no external leak prior to failure. This is a known issue affecting many Ford vehicles with this engine design.

I am reporting what I believe to be mileage roll back and fraud. The vehicle was bought from a private seller and upon submitting paperwork to the DMV, it was found that the mileage on the car's odometer was less than the mileage on the car's title information.

My 2008 Ford Edge (since I brought it) has been having the same issue. When driving the vehicle, all of the lights on the panel will light up( wrench light, airbag light, tire pressure light...etc) the odometer will go off and have only dashes, the car will then have a loss of acceleration. The car feels like it is trying really hard to stay in gear or change gears.this will happen on the highway going 60mph as well as local roads at lower speeds. I will have to put my hazards on and pull over on the side. We figured out that if you disconnect the cables on the battery for a few minutes then reconnect the car will then run again OK. This is a serious hazard. I have almost been hit several times on the highway due to this issue and have been hit from behind getting on the highway already. …

I just been told by koons that I would have to pay 1,300 to fix a throttle issue on my 2008 Ford Edge, which I purchased as a used vehicle labor day special 2014. The car stalls, stops, acceleration is affected. Ford knows the throttles are faulty and instead of recalling, they did a customer satisfaction and agreed to repair affected Edge from 2009-2014. This is bogus I have 2008, which that has this issue. I refuse to pay this and don't have the money to invest in junk. Koons told me because of my hesitation I was investigating in a car that has valued equity & would offer great trade. They knew..they yet put me in another dangerous car. I had accident as well, driving ca lost speed & stalled while crossing over in parking lot.

While driving on freeway with children in car on freeway, car suddenly made a hard sound, speedometer dropped to 0 instantly, all dash board lights came on, RPM stayed between 2 and 3, once traffic slowed and accelerator was eased off of car began to slow and would not pick back up speed when pressed again- even when pushed all the way down. I pulled over to the shoulder and turned the engine off. Then turned it back on. Then I tried to put it into gear. The engine sound as if gas was being given to engine from accelerator and RPM was stuck at 2-3, when put into gear, car jolted really hard and moved ever so slowely when I tried to drive it back into traffic to get my family off freeway, even when I pressed pedal all the way to the floor, car barely moved. …

I own a 2008 Edge with approx. 150,000 miles on it. The car has stalled on me 3 times in the last 3-4 months. The first time the car stalled I was on the freeway during rush hour. Thankfully I was able to restart the care and move it off to the side of the freeway before it stalled again. After having it towed, I was told that the water pump had cracked. The water pump involved a lot of labor and cost me about $1100-$1200 with the tow. About a week later, I was again driving on the freeway and the car stalled. Again, I was able to make my way off the freeway before the car died completely. Once again, I had to have the care towed. This time, I was told that the engine appeared to have coolant in the oil and created a murky goo. My engine needed to be replaced. Another $2200. The last incident was Friday, May 20th. I had no indication there was a problem of any kind. …
