The seat belt and air bag warning light has stayed on. I have had multiple Mechanics, look at it and even try to inspect it. So the lights will go off and they cannot find a problem. I am just worried that if I getting an accident my seatbelt wont-work correctly and the airbags wont-work correctly. I have tried to do a hard reset and so has the mechanics but the lights stay on.
November 2018, on a highway, hit a bump, and the seat belt and air bag lights came on, there was a message that the driver's side seatbelt was unfastened, even though the seat belt was securely fastened, and the seat belt chime rang continuously. About 100 miles later, I hit another bump and the lights went off and the truck stayed functioning correctly for several months. In January 2019, after starting the vehicle and fastening the seat belt, the seat belt light came back on, the air bag light came back on and the seat belt message says that it is not fastened and it chimes continuously for about five minutes. I took the vehicle to the dealership on February 20, 2019. They found a code "u0151 ocr module lost communication" and told me the ocr module would have to be replaced but it is on back order. The vehicle continues to malfunction. …
Takata recall I [redacted] made a report in February 2014 about my Dodge Ram 1500 I report about my air bags did not work when my husband had wreck by falling asleep on the interstate going to work with cruise control on and he hit a big truck ,yes he hit the steer wheel, but the airbags did not work, did 15,000 dollars damage to the truck, this truck is not safe to drive,we where offer the buy back program and we told the Dodge company yes take this truck cause it is not safe but they said we where upside on the amount we owe,we risk our lives with this truck everyday ,this has also has a lot of electric problem
Takate recall/I I called your office about 09/05/18, and your office gave me Ford dealer in chattanooga, tn. I call them on 09/06/18 , thir office said thay would call me when they got the parts in, that was 80 days ago ( wat now )
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact was run off the road while driving 65 MPH into a ditch. The frontal air bags did not deploy and the seat belt did not lock. The contact hit and broke the steering wheel and steering column because of the seat belt failure; he was injured. The vehicle was towed to a repair shop. The mechanic (and police officer on the scene) stated that the air bags should have deployed. The current and failure mileages were approximately 3,600.
There was no failure or accident involved. While renting a 2010 Dodge Ram pickup - shoulder harness was so high it rubbed my neck so raw I had to hold it away with left hand. Shoulder harness designs are not taking into consideration people that are short 5' or less. The vehicle safety board needs to investigate why all the shoulder harnesses are mounted so high on the sidewall of the vehicle which in fact can cause serious bodily harm to a short person driving, if involved in a bad accident. I have had open heart surgery and have had a pacemaker implanted, and this extremely high seat belt nearly cuts my neck. My Toyota tundra is also high, but not nearly so much as this rental Dodge.
I called the dealership to schedule my recall repair. They told me I did not have any active recalls on my vehicle. After an unpleasant back and forth I was finally able to get a manager or "advisor" on the phone. The advisor determined that I did in fact have an active recall. This error was extremely unprofessional, unacceptable and could have endangered my life and the lives of anyone in my vehicle as the safety risk of the recall is "the loss of air bag and seat belt pretensioner deployment capability during a crash May increase the risk of injury or death." (NHTSA recall number17v-302). While this instance is the most egregious from a safety perspective, this is not the first time ourisman jcd of alexandra, va has been reckless or negligent with my vehicle and I would like to file a formal complaint. …
1 person injured(driver) in Dodge Ram. However 2 other vehicles involved and not sure about their injuries. I accidently rear ended vehicle ahead of me which caused that vehicle to rear-end vehicle ahead of it. My vehicle(Dodge Ram) was totaled. Frontal impact of Dodge was very severe and caused me(driver) head and cervical trauma, resulting in emergency room visit and rehab therapies. All airbags in Dodge Ram failed to deploy and driver seatbelt failed to retract/respond resulting in my head/neck/spinal injury. I have written Dodge-Chrysler, they say they sent someone to inspect truck and say they are not responsible for the airbag and seatbelt not working. Dodge/Chrysler also write the airbag/seatbelt was not suppose to work due to the speed limit (40mph) driven and due to more of a side impact than frontal. However, the impact was both frontal and front side. (I have pictures)
