My truck for about a year now has been having issues with the fuel system not working properly. Over time it has got a lot worse I went through and replaced the fuel pump with the original pump and still hasn't helped. Through research I was able to narrow it down to a TIPM issue. Not only is it affecting my fuel system but also the windshield wipers will at random go up a few inches when unlocking the truck or opening the door. The fuel system issue is when I go to start it will just crank constantly and not start to now I might get it started after a few attempts but then it just stalls after a second of running. It has also at time while driving just randomly stalled in the middle of the road creating a hazard of a accident. I see this seems to be a common issue within these trucks but nothing has been recalled for the issue. …
We purchased this vehicle used last November. The factory windshield is nearly impossible to see through at night, and if we're driving in the rain at night, what little visibility there is. Is limited to less than 50 feet. The Chrysler dealership in coos bay, oregon says that it's a factory-installed windshield and declines to take any further responsibility. The low-beam headlights are extremely dim. Safe driving at night requires our using the high beams (when safe for oncoming drivers -- not a good mix.) the Chrysler dealer in coos bay, oregon investigated the headlights with a visual check, and said they're "okay."
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the air door actuator did not close. As a result, hot air entered during the summer and cold air was present during the winter. The failure prevented the windows from defrosting, which caused visibility issues. Roseville Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (2805 long lake rd, roseville, mn 55113, [phone]) stated that the vehicle was not under warranty. The dealer stated that the repair would cost less than $3,000. The manufacturer stated that there was a recall in Canada for the failure, but not in the united states. The contact stated that he had the same failure repaired back in 2011 at the cost of $2,800. The failure mileage was 60,000. The VIN was unknown.
2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi traveling at highway speed when instantly the gauge cluster started acting erratic. First the tire pressure display said that different tires were showing a multitude of different pressures the gas gauge started flickering between full and empty as well as the stop working of the speedometer and tachometer air-conditioned, power steering and continual windshield wiper on even though they were off at the switch. Radio intermittently on and off and ABS and airbag light on and off intermittently. All four windows fail to operate and interior lighting will not come on. Gauge function fluctuates every couple second.
Defroster does not work, blower emits air (cold) but only to floor. Loud popping noise from air box, found actuators were malfunctioning. Nearly caused collision with oncoming traffic. Contacted Chrysler for recall status and they claimed truck was under this recall, however truck had been inspected and found to have no problems with regards to air box actuators. I subsequently found out from a nameless Dodge technician that they were instructed to engage air systems for the inspection and if no apparent malfunction is found they were to pass the recall and write it off. I am outraged that yet another corporate entity is preying on American consumers and getting by with it, while claiming to stand behind their product and it's engineering. I asked Chrysler what repair was needed. They replied" air box circulation doors bad. Would need box removed and replace 5 actuators and doors. …
Tl* the contact owns a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the heater, defroster, and air conditioner malfunctioned. In addition, the transmission failed while the vehicle was turning into a driveway. The vehicle was towed to butte's mile high Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (3883 harrison ave, butte, mt 59701,[phone]) and repaired under warranty. The contact had to pay for a loaner vehicle because they exceeded the mileage limitation due to the distance from their home to the dealer. The contact also stated that the headlight switch did not activate the headlights; therefore, the contact had to use the high beams. The contact repaired the headlights themselves. The heater and air conditioner were not under warranty and were repaired by the contact, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer stated that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The failure mileage was 76,000.
