I was out of town parked at a store would not start. As I was waiting on someone to come help me then 30 mins or so later my car started up. My boys and I cut our vacation short because its very unsafe having your car not start in a place you know no one. We've changed the battery. The next month I was getting gas and it wouldn't start again. I had a person jump me and took it to get checked out and they found nothing wrong with the car. So a month and a half the car did it again I was at the mall and it wouldn't start. This is a horrible feeling not knowing when or if your car is going to start or not. We can't drive out of town in it because the uncertainty if it's going to start or not. Which it is unfair to my boys when we at least do something on summer break or fall break or even winter break and we can't even go outside of our city.

Intermittent non-function of power windows, interior dome lights and dash lights cannot be activated or controlled with steering column controls, rear wiper washer motor activates when rear wiper is turned on, but turns off when the controls are advanced to the spray function. Keyless unlock intermittently non-functional. Took vehicle to dealership and was diagnosed as a faulty totally integrated power module (timp). Unfortunately the Journey was omitted from the timp recall campaign leaving the customer on the hook for the repairs. This vehicle should be added to the recall list as it poses a safety risk of lack of wipers and other possible safety issues while driving.

On our way to the coast my headlight went out completely and had to use only to day lights and fog light no headlight would come on they would only flicker. I was still a hour from the coast and 3 hours from home in the middle of the night. The horn goes off randomly and is annoying same with the wind shield wipers. They go at random and are not needed.the horn is when I am stationary. The wipers go at anytime moving or stopped. The car acts possessed. I am scared to drive at night due to the headlights functionality I had my nephew with me when I had the headlights stop working and I will not put him in danger again. This needs fixed.

I was driving on highway 29 going to columbia md in a heavy rainstorm and my electric system in my truck shut off, I could see because the everything that needed power just stopped working in the middle of the highway. The car was still running but the computer system had shut off and I had a car full of kids. This scared us so bad , luckily I was able to ease to the side of the road where I turned that car off and back on to check if the electric system would come on. It did but as we got off the exit it cut off again.

Passenger side heat does not work. Only blows out cold air in all vents, defrost, front and feet. Causes windows to fog up and bad visibility and also does not keep you warm. Also at times it will not allow you to change the heat controls such as from defrost to front or feet. Happens no matter if car is parked or driving. The colder out is is the worse the problem. Huge safety issue living in minnesota. Also serched google and there were 100's of the same complaints in Dodge journeys all different years.

No heat from passenger side vents on any setting, whether driving or stationary. As a result, defrost performance does not meet FMVSS 103. Flushed heater core and a lot of debris came out and heat worked on both sides. Numerous similar cases have been reported online. Attached image is of sediment that came out during flush.

Car "froze"while driving. Alarm started going off. Windshield wipers and washer fluid and alarm kept going though I pulled over and shut off card. Suddenly it stopped. Turned car back on, check engine light was on then turned off. Now door locks don't work, back hatch won't open. Washer fluid is low. Key fob does not work.

High speed on blower does not work anymore. This can affect visibility if defogger can't keep up on lower settings. Issue traced to melted control board, suggesting the possibility of a thermal event.

My husband and I purchased a 2010 Dodge Journey se VIN#[redacted] in year 2010 in Canada, in 2013 we imported it into us and we are living in michigan. During the five-year ownership, this vehicle has been causing safety problem many times, the issue is sudden lost of electric power for turning signal, wiper motor power, radio and all dashboard light, except the engine running. The first time of such incident happened within 1 year of ownership while we were at turning signal, the vehicle lost turning signal caused confusion to the vehicle behind and almost caused an accident, and since then every few months or so this incident happens, the dealer did multiple repair to it, but never really solved the problem. Many times the dealers could not replicate the issue we report. …
