Vehicle loses power while driving. Sometimes it will not start being stranded with kids as this vehicle was produced as a family car. Had battery, alternator, starter replaced. Have read numerous reports from google about vehicle not starting due to safety security features, problems with the fuse box, needing a yellow wire grounded that is located under the hood, and so on. If this is a know issue with these vehicles for over 10yrs why has it not been recalled to be fixed. As I drive the vehicle on the freeway with MY KIDS in it endaragering our lives and the many others who are on the road with me and the countless other dodge journey drivers. FIX THIS ISSUE. MAKE DODGE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR MISTAKE AS THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DID.

There is a lighting bolt that repeatedly pops up on dashboard and the car cuts off immediately in mid drive !! I have been to the dealership spent $3200 plus and it just keeps coming back on . Also all the lights flicker on and off while driving or when you hit the turning signals this is ridiculous!! It's 2022, these issues should had been recalled !!! This is horrible and unsafe especially when driving with children!

On two separate occasions my doors have locked on there own while I was inside the car and I was not able to open the doors or manually unlock the door. My front lock levers are long enough that you can get a decent grip to pull them up and in normal cases they unlock pretty easy. But when they lock on your own I don't think you get pul) them up with a pair of vice grips. Both levers on the back doors drop almost all the way into the door panel. Most people probably can't open them even without them being glitched.. The only way I was able to unlock them was by the key fob. The unlock switches are useless as well. The changes of it happening are slim but if it happened during a flood or fire and I didn't know to use the key fob. There was no threat to me either time it happened and I still somewhat panicked. …

The car lights do not work turned on manually or automatic. When it first started it was very intermittent, currently it's almost daily. I have had it to 2 different dealerships (before and after warranty). Both times I have been told they cannot find anything wrong and I need to bring it in when it happens. My response "you are not open when it happens, it's dark". I have also had it to my mechanic multiple times and got bless his sole he found the problem this past weekend. I did not have it fixed he said it will probably be somewhere need 1200.00. He also told me that this is a major defect and should be fixed via a recall. I did look that up and there are multiple complaints but no recall. My son currently drives the car and is away at college which poses all sorts of issues. …

Driving on highway at 5:30 am with headlights on. Bright lights (high beams) came on by themselves. Would not turn off. Then would flicker off and on. Head lights stay on. This has happened numerous times since, performance Dodge (dealership where purchased brand new) said they had never heard of that. Checked for codes, found none. Bright beams have come on in daylight with no headlights on. This is the same car I complained about not starting. Still have that issue, last time was in feb 2015. Performance Dodge ( where I purchased car brand new) told me to call a tow truck for a jump start. I told them this was the same problem over and over and they were aware of it, it wasn't a power issue. This last time in feb. 2015, the tow driver said that it wasn't a power issue. He had his partner turn the ignition while he barely touched a wire bundle under the hood. Car started right up. …

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey AWD. While driving 30 MPH, the electrical functions, including the exterior lighting, failed but the engine continued to run. The contact maneuvered into the emergency lane and shut off the vehicle. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and the electrical functions resumed; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but they refused to diagnose the vehicle because it was out of warranty. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 14V373000 (air bags, electrical system); however, the part to repair the recall was unavailable and the dealer stated that it would not be available for six months to a year. The contact mentioned the wait period was unreasonable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 71,000.

Horn randomly honks (while in motion and while parked turned off), doors lock/unlock randomly (while parked) and the headlights and flashers go on and off (while parked). I pulled the fuse from the horn so that it doesn't honk while driving down the road or being parked in my garage overnight. Recently I have replaced the alternator and battery and the vehicle will not start in the morning after sitting all night long. I drive the vehicle to work park it and when I get ready to leave the office for the day the vehicle is dead once again. Something is draining the battery...we have nothing plugged into any outlets or cigarette lighters inside the vehicle. Even double checked that all interior lights are off.

I have been having trouble with my brakes which has been replaced but still grinding noise and squeaky and rotors has been turned. The vehicle has cut off many times, sitting at the traffic light and as getting ready to go and as coming to a stop. It has also cut off as turning and once I realized it I had to try to restart it. It has at times door not unlock and not lock. As putting on brake to come to a stop it shakes. The lights are getting worse they are flickering on and off. Outside light goes out and whole dash goes off while driving. I have to keep flicking the lights as I'm driving so they can come back on. The vehicle has many times not start up and just click when trying to start it.

It started with a window not going up, then the electrical wires to the front left headliggt burned out and melted the bulb connector. Bulb connector was replaced and it happened again. Keyless entry fobs stopped working, batteries were changed and fobs were tested but they still don't work. Alarm goes off at random times and takes us starting and moving the car 50 feet to turn it off. The other night the car horn went off in the middle of the night randomly, about 12 times. Now the hornnis going off as we drive for no reason. This car ckearly has electrical issues. Electrical parts keep burning out causing me to change them for reinspection time by the state.
