I had a 2010 Dodge Journey that caught fire while I was driving and proceeded to burn to the ground. I was turning to park in front of my friend's home, when the fire burst out of the engine, near the windshield. This, on its own, May not be overly monumental, but there are many factors involved that I believe need to be brought to public attention. First, the car was purchased brand new off the lot 2 months prior to the March 11 incident. The inspection showed that the issue that caused the fire was a defect involving the steering fluid line....an issue that has occurred many times in this vehicle!! There was a recall for the 2009 Journey, but nothing for the 2010. Seems to me that whatever the toluca Mexico assembly plant has been doing wrong, hasn't been rectified!!! Chrysler needs to recall this vehicle again!!! Chrysler legal, told me it wasn't going to happen! …

Driver side front window/locks/mirror controls don't work. Rear window controls do work on driver side. Locks and passenger window controls work on passenger side. All is exactly as in safety recall k07-front door wiring harness (stopped with model year 2009) so why is my exact problem (2010) shared by so many other 2010s on the internet, too? I am frustrated. Mechanic cannot find problem. Considering buying a new master switch for driver door-others say replacing it didn't work! It's a known problem-symptoms exact and to the "t"...recall window cutoff too soon!!! Was notified of ignition/key fobick recall, thankfully! Car occasionally almost dies, chugs, and keeps running. Car starts and runs great-intermittent almost dying thing always out of the blue! Not notified about high pressure power steering hose leaking problem-just paid to have that replaced. …

Shortly after beginning to drive the car, the traction control light comes on, the steering tightens up and the brakes freeze up. This happens on completely dry roads. This happened 2 times within 1 mile of each time. The first time I almost went through an intersection because I couldn't get stopped, and the second time I almost rear ended a car. I had both of my children who are 7 and 10 in the vehicle. This is not the first time this issue has happened. It happened 6 months ago, and my mechanic said the code was a faulty tpm which was replaced. It then happened a month ago, and the most recent time which was last week. I've been researching this issue and it seems that the Dodge Journey has had this issue, among others. It seems as if this vehicle needs a complete recall. Somebody is going to end up seriously injured or dead. …

The heat does not get hot on the passenger side when driving anywhere or when parked. The horn randomly goes off when I'm driving on the street expressway and also when the car is parked and shutoff. The airbag indicator light will not go off when the car is parked or while driving on all roads. The airbag indicator sound chimes continuously while I'm driving on any road. I went to drive my car last week in the extremely cold temperature and discovered I had no power steering. I got out the car and also discovered huge amounts of power steering fluid in the snow where I was parked. It was evident something ruptured causing the my vehicle to lose all of it's power steering fluid. I've been told by Chrysler Jeep Dodge that these recalls do not exist for my vehicle. I want something to be done about these issues on my vehicle. It's clear that the Dodge Journey has defaults. …

When driving, both at low neighborhood speed and at highway speed, the engine stalls, lights and radio stay on, steering wheel locks and brakes lock. It has happened several times intermittently and unpredictably. I didn't become scared until it happened when I was on a highway going 60mph and almost wrecked trying to safely exit (date indicated below). The car is now in my driveway because I am afraid to drive it. A mechanic said it was related to a previously-issued safety recall but when I called a dealer to make an appointment for the recall repair, I was told that my vehicle was not included in the recall, despite the glaring similarity. I have not received a recall notice and, as stated, dealerships will not repair my vehicle for free.

While driving my vehicle on a long distance road trip, which I do quite often, the steering wheel began to vibrate as I was decreasing the speed from 65 miles per hour. I have since had my tires replaced and the TPMS on one of my wheels became corroded. The problem still persisted. I had my back brakes replaced, the problem still persisted. I had my wheels aligned, the problem still persisted. My mechanic is currently replacing the axle along with my front brakes. Hopefully, this fixes the problem. My daughter is in college and my family and I will be making 8 hour road trips often. I am financially obligated to this vehicle and need it to service my families needs. Dodge needs to ensure that their vehicles are safe and reliable.

Parked vehicle to attend a 2 hour school function. It was approx. -20 degrees outside in the evening. When I went to drive the vehicle home the power steering was gone. It was very difficult to drive to get the 3 miles home. Once we were home we could smell power steering fluid burning from the engine. We parked the vehicle, opened the hood and there was power steering fluid on top the engine as well as sprayed underneeth the hood. There was a recall for this issue on the Dodge Journey starting in May 2016. Chrysler recall # s08. I checked my vehicle's VIN with your website. It came back as not being included in the recall. I highly recommend this being looked into as my vehicle displayed the exact issues on the recall.
