What owners report
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked with the second-row captain seats folded into the cargo position, while placing the seat in the seating position, the headrest failed to lock into the upright position. The contact stated that while an adolescent child was seated in the seat, the headrest poked her in the back of the head. The contact stated that the headrest was unsafe and failed to operate as designed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed, and it was determined that an unknown part needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.
The sliding center console/armrest in my 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe moves too easily and does not remain securely locked in place when fully extended forward. Even light pressure, such as when a passenger or driver rests an elbow, can cause it to shift suddenly. This can startle the driver and cause a momentary loss of focus, creating a safety hazard while the vehicle is in motion. When the console is fully extended forward, it should lock in position. In my vehicle, it often fails to stay locked, allowing unintended movement in each direction. This happens during normal driving conditions and can be triggered accidentally by an occupant's elbow or arm. The sudden movement is distracting, especially at highway speeds, and could contribute to an unsafe driving situation. …
The head rest in the third row seat is broken and will not remain in the up position when the seat is up. This is causing a safety risk in that there is no safety for passengers in a rear end collision. There is already a recall that Chevrolet has issued for other Tahoe vehicles; however, my VIN number has not been added to that recall. I am requesting to have my vehicle's VIN number added to the already existing recall.
My vehicle is experiencing the same issue with the Third Row Headrests as outlined in a prior service bulletin (N202316750) for the same model year and make vehicle. My VIN number was not included in the bulletin, but I believe it should have been. The passenger side third row headrest will no longer stay up when the seat is engaged.
I purchased this car previously owned. As I've had to drive it everyday. I notice the tires/wheels when turning left or right, when parking ...the wheels tend to lock then I must put in muscle to turn and return to a straight position. This has gotten worse to the point I almost ended up on a curb last week. Someone needs to check this vehicle because something is wrong. I keep impuestos with the maintenance but this locking of tires/wheels and then the constant shudder afterwards is dangerous. I'm appalled there is no recall or at the very least a free diagnostic or inspection at a dealer. I already told my family to sue if I die or get hurt in this Tahoe. Totally unacceptable
Vehicle would not start, needed to jump start. Once running ,climate controls and fan volume would not respond. Heat at 90,fan on full.engine light flashing on off.dash lights suddenly dimmed to low.taken to dealer, had vehicle for 4 days.dealer replaced battery.one week after battery was replaced, experienced the interior cabin lights would flash when brake pedal was applied.instrument panel lights suddenly go from bright to dim.at night and day when turn signal activated ,the interior cabin lights flash on as well as when driver applied brake.very distracting and dangerous in particular when operating at night.notified dealer, returned vehicle for full diagnostics, had it for one week,no issues found. …
2nd row seat doesnt latch sometimes or gets stuck in the down position sparking a concern for my child's safety...I would like for this to be a goodwill safety bulletin or recall if at all possible! Thank you
The front dash has cracked pretty significantly in 2 places. This occurred from the sun with no other factors coming into play. The driver seat fabric does not stay attached underneath the driver seat. Appears it is missing a clip or a poor design that does not secure lower fabric secure to the seat. The steering wheel has a clicking noise when I turn the wheel over. Not sure if it's in the steering column itself or from another piece/fabrication malfunction.
