The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the trailer hitch warning light was illuminated with an audible tone. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 73,988.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. While driving, the contact was alerted that there was a GPS malfunction. The contact found a service bulletin for the failure that expired in 2017, but the contact was never notified. The bulletin indicated that the manufacturer was repairing the GPS at that time. The contact did not feel responsible for the repair cost. Weseloh Chevrolet (5335 paseo del norte, carlsbad, ca 92008, [phone]) was contacted and claimed to know nothing about the service bulletin. The manufacturer had not been contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 85,000.
Battery began to go dead. I would call road service to get it restarted. This has happened several times and *OnStar was notified on most occasions of this happening.*OnStar was notified due to the contract I have with them for roadside help. This has happened atleast seven times.(using *OnStar for assistance on atleast three of these seven times) I have taken it back to the dealership for help with the problem. They replaced the battery. But the real problem is the car just up and shuts down while driving. This has happened twice(I told the dealer about it)and the thing ,other than the safety factor, I'm afraid to drive the car. I travel and I really need a car. I can't afford a secondary vehicle. My family stated nor can you afford to die either!the chance of taken the life of another person,to me,far exceeds the fear I have of loosing my on life.
My 2007 Tahoe is a piece of ?!@#$%. Since I got the truck it has been in and out of the shop. My gas gage floats I can start out at of a tank and it will go up to of a tank. The dealership has changed multiple parts and can not seem to fix it. The blower in the air conditioner went out that had to be replaced as well. My service light came on and another part had to be replaced. I would have to say that my truck has been in the shop at least 30 days. I would not buy another GM vehicle. The dealership was so quick to sell me the truck, not that quick to help me. I have picture and video with time and date of to gas gauge floating. My gas gage is the recurring problem, the dealership has changed multipr parts.
On date stated, our 2004 Chevy Tahoe VIN [redacted], left the roadway, became air borne, landed on its nose, deployed the air bags, and ended up upside down. According to OnStar, they should have been notified when the air bags deployed, but the system failed and did not send notification. There were no life threatening injuries, but had this been at night, and the accident not witnessed by others who came to our aid. The outcome could have been entirely different. It is our desire that this situation be elevated to the proper level within GM, OnStar, and specifically Chevrolet, so that the proper research can be done where the system will not fail in similar circumstances in the future. The system is designed to save lives, but if it does not work, is useless and much advertising to the contrary is very misleading. Thank you for your attention to this. [redacted] gb.
During a side impact/roll over motor vehicle accident, no automatic safety features deployed. Full side impact to the passenger side resulted in no airbag deployment. This vehicle was equipped at additional cost, side impact airbags. In contrary to national advertising the on-star feature was also a null response. This vehicle was a total lose and non-repairable.
I own a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. I noticed in the fall of 2004 that my speedometer was beginning to be wrong - I would be running at 1,900 RPM, which for my vehicle is about 65 MPH, but the speedometer would only be showing 40 MPH. I took the Tahoe into my dealers service dept where they told me that the speedometer cluster was bad and would have to be replaced. I had an extended warranty, so this was not a problem. A new cluster was replaced on 12/6/04 when the Tahoe had 40,000. I now have over 108,000 miles on it and the replacement speedometer is now doing the same things the old one did. The other night (3/29/08) I was driving home at 1,900 RPM on the tach and the speedometer needle was sitting on 0 MPH - now I know I wasn't standing still on the highway! …
Recently purchased (3 days ago) a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe and both my wife and I noticed erratic behavior from speedometer. After much research and another family member with the same problem on a 2004 Tahoe, we realized that this was a serious safety issue that an extreme amount of other people were having. The speedometer "sticks" at different points while accelerating or decelerating, I wish to get this issue resolved as soon as possible via recall. GM is well aware of this problem and it should issue a full recall on the instrument cluster to fix the problem. A simple "special situation" warranty is not good enough. GM must issue a recall on this very widely experienced problem. They also said that although my mileage was only 2000 miles over the "70,000" mile mark, they wouldn't fix it. This is a serious safety issue! GM...do the right thing! …
