While driving my truck returning from a camping trip I received the following warnings in the dash: Service ESC, Service traction control, forward collision system unavailable. Check engine light was flashing. I made the assumption that the Check engine light was due to the warnings listed above. I continued to drive the vehicle until I began to feel a very noticeable shudder at idle, at low speeds, and also loss of power at higher speeds. The truck has the 5.3 ecotec engine with DFM. After researching the symptoms, I found that these symptoms are identical to the know lifter problem with that engine. The truck is a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado Trail boss with approx. 3454 miles on it. It's currently at the dealership waiting for them to "diagnose" the problem. …
On [redacted] at ~3:00 p.m., I was driving my 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country (VIN [redacted]) in stop-and-go highway traffic with Super Cruise engaged. The vehicle ahead was a truck towing a low, empty flatbed trailer. My truck came to a complete stop behind the trailer. While stopped, with no accelerator input from me, the vehicle accelerated forward on its own and struck the rear of the flatbed before I could intervene. My foot was not on the accelerator. It appears the forward sensors may not have detected the low, unloaded trailer as an obstacle, so when the system resumed from the stop it accelerated into it. No injuries. The other vehicle had a steel rear plate and was undamaged; damage to my truck is estimated at $3,549.68. A vehicle that accelerates on its own from a complete stop into a stationary object ahead is a serious hazard. …
While driving to work on [redacted] in Huntsville AL at approximately 55MPH. I was using Chevrolet SuperCruise. I tried turning off super cruise with the super cruise button. It did not turn off, tried pressing cruise control button, nothing, tried the cancel button, nothing, pressed brakes and would not turn off. Truck started slowing in very heavy traffic, it turned hazards on. I was finally able to get it turned off. I have reported to dealer, no surprise they didn't answer, left message at 9 am this morning, no call back. I have made a report to GM. I no longer feel safe putting my family in this truck. This truck has been in shop several times for "Service driver assist", no on-star, no cellular data, extremely slow infotainment system and no supercruise available. The truck at last visit for the service driver assist took more than 2 week. …

The contact indicated that as the vehicle drove closer to the pole the driver's seat did not vibrate, the audible alarm was not active and the warning message was not displayed to alert the driver of an impending crash into the pole. During the crash, the contact experienced an injured back that did not require medical attention at the time. No police report was filed and the vehicle was driven from the scene. …
