On [redacted] I leased this 2026 Silverado and I have discovered that this truck tramlines, basically rocks side to side on roads with longitudinal grooves in the concrete, meaning lines that go the same way you're driving, the truck will violently swag side to side. I have been pushed into oncoming traffic from this. On 7/17.26 I took my truck to Fox Chevrolet of [redacted] to get service about this issue. I took the general manager of theirs, Marc and he confirmed the issue. He said he would send the DOT number to GM and wait for their reply. He called me on 7/20 saying that GM informed him that this has been reported by others and there's nothing GM is willing to do and to just deal with it. I told him that I find that unacceptable and it needs to be looked at my someone higher up. He passed this to his service manager since he's going on vacation for the next week, Ron. …

(this tire itself the main reason for this report has been repaired 4 times and now has its 5th leak) but at least 1 or more repairs have been made for 3 of the 4 tires as well as another chevy truck same year, model and tire from factory but only 1 of their tires has failed as of today. One of the tire punctures has leaked 5 psi within 1 mile distance. …

As a result, all of the underneath of the vehicle was damaged. The contact stated that the wheel flew away and fell in front of the driver attempting to turn to the right and also causing a collision. There were no warning lights illuminated, and no strange sounds were noticed before the failure. The airbags in the vehicle failed to deploy. The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 50 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed as he began to approach traffic on the highway. As the contact began to steer the vehicle to the left, the entire front driver side wheel assembly detached from the vehicle without warning. Once the vehicle hit the ground, the driver and passenger-side air bags deployed and the contact hit the vehicle in front of him as he lost control of the vehicle. The contact was able to steer the vehicle off the highway and onto the left shoulder, the side curtain airbags then deployed as the vehicle came to a complete stop. Due to the failure, the brake line broke and spewed brake fluid throughout the engine and onto the road which resulted in an engine fire. The authorities were called to the scene and were able to extinguish the fire. A police report was filed. …
A tire purchased new as part of a complete set failed on June 29, 2026, approximately 58 days after purchase. The vehicle was being driven on a smooth road surface under normal driving conditions when the tire suddenly failed. There was no known impact with a pothole, curb, road debris, or other road hazard before the failure, and there were no warning lights, messages, or noticeable symptoms indicating a problem with the tire before it failed. The sudden tire failure created a serious safety concern because it occurred while the vehicle was being driven and could have resulted in loss of vehicle control, a collision, or injury to the vehicle occupants or other motorists. Because the failure occurred while traveling out of state, the tire was taken to an independent tire service center for inspection. …
