The vehicle was pushed to the side of the road, and the contact later returned to the vehicle and added a small amount of fuel to the fuel tank. After starting the vehicle, the vehicle operated normally and was driven to the residence and parked. The following day, the vehicle was started, and the fuel gauge indicated that the fuel tank was half full. The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 MPH and attempting to accelerate to 55 MPH, the engine started choking, and the vehicle lunged back and forth, and slowly lost drive power. The vehicle was driven to a local certified mechanic while driving at slower speeds. The certified mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the Active Fuel Management (AFM) and Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) systems had failed and caused the engine failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The mechanic informed the contact that Chevrolet vehicles with similar engines were known for engine failure. The manufacturer was not informed of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 119,000.
The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that when her husband started the vehicle, the vehicle began to jerk and hesitate upon depression of the accelerator pedal. The check engine warning light illuminated. Due to the failure, the contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer where a diagnostic test was performed. The vehicle was diagnosed with a defective fuel pump module. The contact was also informed that the parts to repair the vehicle were unavailable. The manufacturer was then notified of the failure and after numerous calls, agreed to pay for her monthly vehicle payment while the vehicle remained at the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

The local dealer was contacted, and the vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the purge valve and EVAP system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was determined that the fuel pump control module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts not being available. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

I've had continued issues with components that are electrical . The interior electrical items go wonky, radio touch screen will blink back and forth between two screens for several minutes. Sometimes the sir and radio will just turn on with no key, this is random. It will also turn on off then on again after removing key. The ac has begun to randomly stop working(, blowing cold or at sufficient correct speed) all these occurrences are random, have been checked, unable to duplicate or correct. Bigger more serious issues . The steering and loss of power and hesitation in transmission. My steering went horribly bad. It was replaced and it's still bad and the power module in new unit is bad.. again waiting for s new tech and pinion. (It's been ridiculous with the strike) the steering for several months has been extremely sloppy causing the truck to wander and it's very unsafe. …
I purchased the truck in 2021 from a chevy dealer with 32k miles on it, truck looked great and performed great, at 42k miles it started to be sluggish and it would vibrate between 30-40 and 60-70 as i feathered the gas pedal to maintain speed, but if i gave it more gas or take my foot off the pedal it would stop vibrating, I've taken it to 2 chevy dealers, the first one said it drives within GM spec's. the 2nd one looked more promising but my warranty ran out at 75k and i was at that mileage. So today at 93k on it, it still vibrates and sluggish from a start. I looked online and many people have similar problems. …
Wires were improperly installed during assembly, on truck and rubs on a frame which chafes, which causes the protective covering to get rubbed off causing a short circuit on my wiring harness which causes the "check engine light" to stay on constantly. This is a factory mistake yet they want to charge me for the fix. I also have come to know this is getting too common on Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierras. GM needs to correct their factory defect for free. This chafing can happen in three different areas on the trucks. These shorted wires can cause failure of the fuel pumps and leave you on the road when the engine shuts down. GM knows about these problems but has not acted on this problem. they never mentioned or noted the wiring problem on my repair summary, Oct. 23, 24, when they were replacing the torque converter. They showed it to me, but never made note of it. …
I'd like to report a serious, ongoing safety concern with my 2019 Chevrolet Silverado (5.3 V8 53,028 mi) since Dec 2025. Over the last 4 months, I have experienced at least 20 engine failures/loss of power, with no engine light illuminated after restarting truck. These failures result in a complete loss of power, including steering and braking, posing a significant risk of a crash. Chevy said it would be hard to diagnose with no engine warning light on. Feb 24th, engine failure, warning light stayed on and towed truck to Chevy. Truck on standby, repaired Mar 10th, replacing 2 oxygen sensors per Diagnostics. Picked it up on March 11th, but engine shutdown again the same day and 4 additional failures while driving in my neighborhood, making the truck undrivable. I reached out to Chevy service supervisor, Juliana, but have received no response for the last 10 days. …
