What owners report
The contact owns a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked inside a parking lot, the contact discovered that an L shaped cracked had formed on the windshield. The contact stated that the crack appeared to have started on the top, passenger side of the window, running down that part of the glass before veering of towards the driver side of the windshield. The contact stated that the failure appeared to have occurred without incident. The dealer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The contact was then referred to the NHTSA Hotline to file a safety complaint. In addition, the contact was informed that the windshield must be replaced with an OEM windshield due to the cameras on the windshield. The contact was also referred to her warranty provider; however, she had yet to get in touch with them. …
The contact owns a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked inside the garage, the hatch glass shattered unexpectedly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, no cause for the failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon further investigation, the contact became aware that several consumers had reported that the rear glass, front windshield, and sunroof glass had broken without impact due to the manufacturing of the thin-tempered glass. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact that a Nissan regional representative would reach out with assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.
The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine made abnormal sounds, and the vehicle stalled. No warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle jerked backwards while shifting from park(P) to drive(D), and the windshield wipers remained stuck in the middle of the windshield for three minutes after activation. The contact stated that the battery was replaced after two months of purchasing the vehicle new. The vehicle was able to restart. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 3,500.
Since I purchased the 2024 Nissan pathfinder in October 2023 I have had multiple issues with the glass windshield and visibility issues. The problem normally occurs when it rains and a white film comes on the windshield making it sometimes impossible to see while driving the vehicle. The problem gets worse at night if its raining because the glare from the light makes it impossible to see anything while driving. On two occasions while driving the car while raining especially at night I have almost ran off the road because the white film on the windshield was so blurry I couldn't see. I have taken the car back to several Nissan dealers who replaced windshield wipers. The problem has still continued after replacing three sets of windshield wipers blades. The windshield has been washed with Windex and film remover and film still remains. …
I just bought my Nissan Pathfinder SL about a month ago. On the first day while I was driving it home I noticed a shaky driver's side mirror. It has been persistent since then on highways, in a windy day, or most frequently when there are surface imperfections on the road. The mirror shakes so much that I cannot see clearly the image which in my belief is a safety hazard. I understand there should be a specification that each vehicle needs to meet, but to me this does not appear to be a normal characteristic of a car. As a matter of fact, the passenger's side mirror does not vibrate at all, regardless the speed, wind, or road imperfections. My other vehicles also do not behave like this. I took the vehicle in at my local dealership (Garber Nissan in Saginaw). After an hour's inspection, they said it was a normal characteristic of the vehicle, which is not acceptable to me. …
I would like to submit a safety concern for a new vehicle that I purchased in April. The Nissan Pathfinder Platinum edition is indeed a very nice vehicle, but there are two issues that need to be addressed immediately. The first is that the windshield washer probe is located one- and one-half inches inside the hood near the windshield. This translates into a low stream of washer fluid that hits the 40-inch-tall windshield at the seven-inch mark from the bottom of it. This means that the wiper blades cannot and do not "catch and move the washer fluid" up to clean the entire windshield. I drove in a snowstorm recently, this proved to be extremely problematic for me and I had poor visibility looking out of the windshield.
The 2nd row seats (captain chairs) are tilted upward at edge of seats and my infant carseat is not leveled as it should be. Due to the chairs seat being tilted upward causes child carseat level to be off and making carseat tilt forward causing babies head to go forward more than they should. Passenger seat is also very low causing concerns for airbag deployment and serious injury to face. Low viability in rear mirror due to large long headrests.
The panoramic sunroof on our vehicle unexplainably shattered. We just purchased this vehicle less than 5 days prior to this occurring. It happened while it was parked in the drive way. Our vehicle is available for inspection, however it is at the dealership waiting a decision from Nissan engineering on whether or not they will cover the issue. The main safety risk is that this problem could have occurred while the vehicle was being operated and injured passangers. The problem of the sunroof being shattered has been confirmed by Nissan dealership. We are still waiting for their engineers to confirm whether or not they will cover the issue. There were no issues or warnings regarding this issue.
