The contact owned a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that the ABS warning light had illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the ABS system needed to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired; however, the contact believed that the ABS system was not calibrated due to the ABS warning light re-illuminated. On another occasion, the contact stated that while driving approximately 70 - 75 MPH, a vehicle in the middle lane switched to the last left lane, and the contact maneuvered the vehicle to the middle lane due to the collision avoidance alarm activating. The tires spun out of control, and the front brakes failed and locked. The vehicle skidded and crashed head-on into a semi truck. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled. The contact sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI), and medical attention was required. …
On july 18 2026, I was stand still on South bound Tampa ave and Norfhoff, city of northridge CA .When suddenly car it accelerated from "AUTO HOLD" I push my service brake but dont response, and unfortunately rear end then car front on me, after the collision the car going in reverse in accelerated way finally stop and the car, and remained accelerated for couple minutes. My safety was in risk, and for family and other drivers, will be bad accident i I was in crosswalk, trust in AUTO HOLD SYSTEM. NISSAN CORPORATION send a inspector to the dealer but they confirm is not evidence of a product problem, failure, or malfuction. prior the accident other lights was ON and dealer fixed for example when car is closed to hit something and stop, show 2 times and fixed .
The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle to the dealer for a routine oil change, the contact was informed that the driver's and passenger's side rear brake pads and rotors were severely worn and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that due to the low mileage, the brake pads and rotor should not need to be replaced. The contact stated that there were no issues with the brakes prior to the visit. Upon investigation, the contact discovered that there was a class action lawsuit pending against Nissan for the 2022 and 2023 Nissan Pathfinders due to premature brake pad wear. The class action suit stated that numerous owners of similar vehicles had complained that the brake pads were prematurely worn between 20,000 - 30,000 miles, as opposed to the average 50,000-60,000 mile range. …
The car was involved in a collision into a jersey barrier on the left side of the vehicle at high speed that is 60 mph first the none of the airbags deployed and including the front airbags driver knee airbags or the curtain side airbags. Next, the driver's Apple Watch confirmed that we were in a collision and was able to call 911 where the safety features within the vehicle did not make any notification that we were in a collision, nor is it reflected within the Nissan app that there was a collision after the fact. Additional safety features for an accident are supposed to include four ways being automatically turned on in the car, unlocking the passengers had to engage the 4-way lights and the passenger side front had to unlock the car to be assisted by Paramedics. …
The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard. The vehicle failed to stop immediately. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, no cause for the failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.
I took the car in for the NYS inspection and was told that I need new rear brakes. The car is only a year old and has only 16,000 miles on it. Nissan's own website says that brakes should last between 30-70k miles. I looked into this and found out that premature rear brake failure is a common issue with the new Pathfinder. Nissan is refusing to replace the brakes under warranty, even though it's clearly a manufacturer's defect for brakes to fail this quickly. This is a safety concern, because Pathfinder owners could be driving around with bad brakes, expecting them to last 2-4 times longer than they actually do. Brakes failing in one year is completely unacceptable for a modern vehicle. Nissan should recall all Pathfinders and replace the rear brakes for free for anyone affected by this. They should also figure out why the rear brakes are failing early on all of these cars and fix it. …
The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while the wife was driving approximately 60 MPH and attempting the stop, the braking system malfunctioned and the vehicle did not stop or reduce speed while the brake pedal was being pressed causing the vehicle to crash into the rear of a second vehicle. During the crash, the collision avoidance system did not activate and the air bag did not deploy. No injuries were reported. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 38,600.
The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and depressing the brake pedal, the brake rotors shuddered violently and the vehicle hesitated to respond, causing a 50 ft. stopping distance delay. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the rotors were corroded; however, the mechanic could not duplicate the failure. The failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the same information was provided. The contact stated while driving 55-60 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the failure reoccurred, and the vehicle nearly crashed into a vehicle that was at a 2ft. distance. The driver assist mode engaged and the steering wheel started shuddering. The contact was able to prevent the vehicle from crashing and continuously applied tremendous pressure to the brake pedal until the vehicle stopped. …
