I bought my 2007 Jeep Wrangler in November 2020. It had approximately 122,000 miles on it and has the 6 speed manual transmission. After driving it for 7 days, I was backing out of a parking spot and heard a loud squeal and was unable to shift gears. It had to have the clutch replaced along with the flywheel and several other clutch associated parts. The total was $1,600. The salesman at the dealership where I bought it told me as I was buying it that there is no warranty but if something happens in the first couple of weeks that he would work with us. Of course he did NOT help me. He wouldn't even return my phone calls. Whatever, buyer beware! Second issue is of course the fuel spit back problem. Every time I fill up, I end up with gas on the Jeep and on the ground. I love wasting money like that. …
While driving the car the oil light came on but went off. I was on a narrow road and was about to pull off then lights started to flash and the clutch would not work I stopped and turned the car off but it would not stop. Then I tried to get out and the doors all locked on me.I got out and noticed what I first thought was a boiling radiator but when I went to lift the bonnet the car caught fire. It was gone in a matter of minutes. Jeep australia denied any cars had caught fire here and would not allow us to have forensics investigate. At 35,000 the clutch also had to be replaced which Jeep also said was because I did not know how to drive a manual I had been driving for 17 years. I know there have been other cars here in australia with the same problems I have had
"Takata recall" I was driving my Jeep Wrangler 2007 when I started to lost power and I try to move to the emergency line but my brakes went out and my wheel were locked, I was not able to control my car at all, after my car abruptly stop I run to get my child out and my car was on flames under the hood (passenger side) I didn't have a warning, I checked my dashboard and nothing was on, my car was at the Chrysler dealer for service two weeks ago and pass state inspection last week. That's is not acceptable, I didn't have time to get my bag and wallet, my car was on flames. Chrysler need to do something about it. We need some answers. My car was in motion, in a highway.
My car caught on fire while driving from OK to tx, before the fire my brakes went out and my wheel was locked. Between a minute of running out of the car with my baby my car was completely in flames, my Jeep was at the dealer 2 weeks ago for service, I never have a dashboard warning, car was working perfectly until caught in fire, oh before my breaks went out my car started to lost power and the fire started under the hood (passenger seat) we need some answers, that's not fsir....updated 08/08/16..updated 08/30/16

While driving, trac bar bracket broke off front axle & vehicle could not be steered or controlled. Approx 2 weeks later, rear trac bracket broke off rear axle & vehicle was swaying, but could be controlled. The prior incidents mentioned above happened in 07/12 & 08/12. Jeep dealer made repairs by re-welding brackets. On 11/10/2016 my wife was coming home from work & heard a loud bang and lost control of vehicle & it was bouncing violently & could not steer vehicle & almost crashed vehicle. Trac bar bracket on front axle had broken off again after being repaired by Jeep dealer.
2007 Jeep Wrangler. I have experienced excessive hood flutter. This happens while driving on the highway if there is any wind. Based on events in this post on wranghlerforums. (http://www.wranglerforum.com/f274/hood-flutter-on-2017-hard-rock-almost-killed-me-dealer-refuses-to-fix-2283538.html) I have spent $125 and changes out the hood latches on my jk.. This should be a recall before someone gets hurt.
Was driving and engine stopped. Coasted to side of road and when stopped smoke was billowing up around me. Got out and tried to put out undercarriage with water and then two fire extinguishers with the help of other motorists that stopped to help. We couldn't extinguish so I called 911 and watched as it was engulfed in flames and burned.
Hello, I bought a new 2007 Jeep Wrangler and have been having what the industry calls the "death wobble" since the vehicle was new and it is now in for the 4th repair attempt and dealership is telling me that there is nothing they can do to fix it and that they can't replicate the problem this time, although they have now repaired it 3 times now over the last 2 years and were able to replicate the problem each of the other times. Now my new vehicle warranty is within 200 miles of expiring now and I have a broken car that is in no way safe to drive. I will be driving to the mountains to ski this weekend in a snow storm so it should be scary as this is my only car. A simple search for my model year Jeep online and death wobble will return an unlimited amount of information. Obviously I am not the only consumer with this complaint. …
