The contact owns a 2019 Hyundai Veloster. The contact stated that while driving 76 MPH, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode and decelerated to 30 MPH. The check engine warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle experienced intermittent, unintended acceleration. The contact shifted the transmission to neutral(N), but the vehicle failed to stop. The contact then pressed the shift lock release button, and the vehicle was able to stop. The steering wheel also inadvertently turned left or right while driving, and the Lane Keep Assist System was not activated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that fuel and oil were leaking into the exhaust pipe, allowing smoke into the cabin. The dealer replaced the alternator, battery, and spark plugs, but the failure persisted. The dealer notified the manufacturer about the failure. …

The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the repair offer would be voided if the vehicle was taken to another dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 74,765.
As I was driving on the highway I started losing power and a warning of transmission over heating appeared on screen. I let the car sit and cool down and when I started it up again the same issue persisted, I had the car towed home. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My safety was put at risk since I was driving and highway speed and car just slowed down during rush hour traffic. The vehicle has not been expected at this time.
The component that failed is acceleration. He came from work at the Frywed when he reduced the speed from 65 to 30 and no longer accelerated .. if an independent service had no warning or failure at that time they were detected
While driving on interstate 30 in little rock arkansas going about 70 I put the car in cruise control as were approach a hill the car shot up to 6000 RPM and would not shift, I had to take cruise control off and use manual drive. I thought it was possibly just a fluke accident but this problem continued and eventually when I put my car and drive it won't go it takes a while for it to take off and when it does take off it jerks into gear .. I has been running rough and feels like it missing.. Then on the interstate 67 /167 I was trying top accelerate and the car stalled for a good moment, enough to scare me to I had to pull off abruptly..
I just noticed that on my right front tire there is a bubble on it's side wall. The car leased new back in July of this year. The tires are the kumho solus kh25. I've also noticed here on this site, I seen a complaint for the same thing. I'm have an appointment on Monday to see what are they going to tell me. As for speed control. This car cant go above 55mph - 60mph while on highway normal curves without the rear swaying while run over divider line on the pavement. Less speed when it rains. I'm really having doubts about this car once it starts to snow.
I have had the ABS checked by Hyundai dealership per recall and they told me there was no issues, but I'm having a lot of problems with accelerating, and it shifting gears, I don't think the system is really diagnosing, whenever I turn my car on sometimes it will do a diagnostic read, but it can't send data, and it will take a while for the system to reset itself. It does smell like my car is smoking and I will have to physically roll my window down and/or poke my head out the window to make sure it's not smoking. I'm checking my temperature gauge in my car to make sure it id within normal range. And when the check engine light comes on, sometimes it will come up and will blink for a few seconds and then disappear. Then I will go to O'Reilly's or Advanced Auto Zone to get a reading the common codes that have come up were P0401, P0442,
Connecting rod failure. A test was ran on my car and this code came up even though my check engine light was off. There is a rattling when accelerating and a decrease in speed when accelerating. The rattling began a little less than a year ago so I took it to a shop but they said it couldn't be fixed because the engine is enclosed. Basically to fix this issue I would need an entire new engine and it is already causing major issues on my vehicle. This is a safety issue because the engine could just fail.
