While driving 60 mph, in heavy rain, flat roadway the vehicle down shifted from 6th gear to 4th and from 6th gear to 3rd several times. The shift to 3rd from 6th was hard and accompanied by a temporary loss of forward momentum. No check engine light came on. All temperature gauges remained within normal range. The tachometer jumped and fell wildly during each of the events. I pulled off the highway at the next exit, turned off the ignition, and waited a few minutes. I restarted the truck and proceeded without additional problems.

2012 F-350 · Jul 2023

Frequently on damp and cold days, the electrical system starts malfunctioning. The wipers fail to work. The lights (head, parking fog, blinkers) on the driver's side of the truck don't work. When I remove the key from the truck the radio and all the interior lights stay on even after I try to lock the doors. Sometimes the radio randomly turns on while I'm not in the truck. While driving the truck the power steering seems to freeze up and the truck pulls hard to the right. Whenever the truck is turned on there is a loud humming noise that comes from under the hood.

Fuel tank collapsed. Had a 2011 f350 and the fuel tank collapsed on itself the truck is a service body, took to the dealer and they said we damaged the tank and tried to cover it up by putting a new skid plate on it. Not the case the truck has never left the pavement so whatever they recommend we replace it so we did, this is a (steel tank mind you) the next day it did it again so we took to dealer again, they said the vent valve solenoid was plugged so they replaced that and put a new tank in it next day it did it again took back to dealer sat there for almost six months and they said the ECM or PCM was bad, they wouldn't cover anything in parts so far so we paid for that too. Got it back ran great for six months and now has the same issue. Don't wanna dump more money into it as we spent close to 9,000 the time and the dealer wont cover it again. So has anyone else had this issue? …

The moon roof track on my Ford f-350 (2008) failed after about 5 years. I had it replaced at jim click Ford in tucson at the beginning of 2013 at a cost of $2400.00. At the beginning of 2015 it failed again. Neither the dealer nor Ford have an answer for the failure(s) and both said I need to do the repair again at my expense. I feel that the moon roof apparatus should be sturdy enough to last the lifespan of the vehicle. My contention is that this issue is a defect and could be a safety issue is the moon roof is blown off or cannot be sealed. From the beginning with this truck when I would drive it forward in high winds the moon roof would lift and chatter. The frame is plastic and not very sturdy. …
