When driving my 2013 Ford 350 Crew Cab 4x4 6.7 Diesel with only 68,000 miles stock with original equiptment , I was driving to my chemo appt as I have stage 4 cancer and a mom of a young son the truck started a shake and the sterring wheel violently came away from my hands. It got so bad I almost went into oncoming traffic putting my sons life and myself and others in danger, I have brought this truck to local shop and they figure it out. This has gone several times. Its my primary truck. Im a widow and need a safe truck. I cant bring to dealer as they charge $150 hr. I dont have a extended warranty on the truck, No codes popped up on dash, Ford has many complaints with there trucks including the f 150 which i owned and it lived at the shop . over $10,000 out of pocket and problem never fixed always can find issue. something needs to be done before someone gets killed in a accident .
The truck has 8 cab body mount bushings that had deteriorated away that left the cab moving and bouncing up and down on the frame. This happened while driving down the road while in motion on the highway and in the city. The truck has less than 80000 miles.
Items in my bed and liner caught on fire. Engine regeneration for emissions got so hot melted all of the bed liner and caught a new large tv on fire. Ford has a glue on heat shield under bed which fell off. Exhaust gets so hot it caught on fire. They should have put a metal fixed plate or something fixed no a cheap glue on piece of foil. I inspected other trucks all missing!
Driving thru town 25mph or less turning one corner fine then another corner the opposite direction and only steering wheel turned.my truck went straight into the rock wall damaged hood fender, bumper, headlight bezel and lights driver wheel, and when diagnosed the original problem it was the steering gearbox failure
While traveling through tn, towing a trailer, the front driver's side tire delaminated and blew. This caused the vehicle to veer across the meridian and almost into on-coming traffic. The damages include the rim, fender, wheel well, front bumper and fairing. This is a estimate, the vehicle goes into the shop tomorrow to be evaluated by a mechanic and receive repairs. This is a similar incident that occurred in May of 2011, while hauling a 5th wheel camper to ar, the passenger front tire delaminated within 3 hours of stating the trip. The tire did not blow and I was able to maintain control of the vehicle. It goes without saying that I will research replacement tires and remove the other 5 tires (dually + spare). As a safety specialist/investigator, I originally thought that I had received "retread" tires on my vehicle when I purchased it. …
Tl* the contact owns a 2004 Ford f-350. While the vehicle was being serviced by an independent mechanic, it was observed that the driver and passenger side inner rocker panels had severe corrosion, failed, and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Prior to the failure, the contact noticed that the frame was cracked. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer (formula Ford, 4318 middle rd, rutland, vt, 05701) where it was confirmed that the frame was fractured, but they would not repair the vehicle. The frame was repaired. The contact got the department of motor vehicles involved; therefore, the dealer paid some of the repair cost to be welded by the contact's independent professional welder. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 140,590.
The frame at the leaf spring hangars has cracked apart at only 131,000 miles on the truck. This issue is becoming more and more common over the years it seems and comparable age trucks from other manufacturers are having this issue for the same age.
