Description On your vehicle it is possible that the trailer module trm may lose communication at vehicle start-up. If a trm loss of communication occurs and a trailer is connected to the vehicle, trailer stop lamps and turn signal indicators will not function. Additionally, for trailers equipped with electronic trailer brakes, the trailer brakes will not function. This loss of communication can occur with-or-without a trailer connected to the vehicle and can only initiate at vehicle start-up. If this occurs, a trailer brake module fault notification will pop-up on the vehicles instrument panel cluster. The vehicle brake and turn signal lamps will continue to operate normally and are not affected by this trm fault. If you do not tow with your vehicle, you may wait for ota deployment for your vehicle remedy. …
With speeds in excess of 70 MPH, the car have a violent shake. The shake gets worse as you approach 80 MPH. This is in both the 2025 and 2026 Ford Expedition models. This put drivers at risk, as they must keep control of the car at all times on the highway if they are in excess of 70 MPH. The car has already been inspected by Ford and they did a road balance test and replaced one tire. The car still shakes at high speeds. Ford is looking to bring my car in a 2nd time to look at the issue again. No warning lights came on. This appears to be a driving issue not related to anything that would come up electronically.
This was a rental vehicle hybrid, while driving on a highway, the vehicle first developed a flat tire. Afterward, while the vehicle was in motion, smoke appeared and the vehicle caught fire spontaneously. There was no collision or impact of any kind. The driver pulled over and all passengers exited safely. The fire spread very rapidly and it's a total loss. The fire department responded and extinguished the fire. The fire appears to have originated in the hybrid battery area. The were no warnings. Safety risk: the fire occurred while vehicle was moving on a public highway with occupants inside, and spread very quickly after stopping. The Highway Patrol attended the scene and a police report was filled, incident documented. I'm reporting this as a serious safety concern.
I purchased a new 2025 Ford Expedition Max. Since I left the dealer's lot, the vehicle has had a strong vibration at any speed over 60 miles per hour, which makes highway driving and longer distance trips very challenging or impossible. Since I bought the vehicle, I have had to return it for dealership warranty service a total of three times. Despite the three warranty service repairs at Ford authorized dealers, I am still having the strong vibration at any speed over 60 miles per hour in my vehicle at this time. The strong vibration makes the driver feel fatigued, light-headed and dizzy after 30 minutes of highway driving at any speed over 60 mph, impacting driving the vehicle safely, increasing the risk of road accidents and potentially resulting in death or serious bodily injury. The vehicle does not feel safe to drive at highway speed or for longer distances. …
Bought the car on Feb 14th 2026. We were told Avis car sales in fontana does their vehicle inspection on every car before its sold. We noticed the two back tires on the expedition were bald and showing cords. We told Tawnya and George about the tires and they said they would order them, they'd be in within two days and to bring the car back to get them replaced. When we got home we setup ford diagnostics and found out the oil life was at 29% so they also lied and sent us out with bad oil. We checked the dip stick and yeah super dark oil. We've called two days in a row and keep getting told they are busy and they will call us back, they have not. We have tried to reach corporate but they dont have a department for this. The vehicle is currently sitting because of how bad the tires are, its 100% not safe to drive. …
At highway speeds, the car shakes/vibrates. It's scary. Took vehicle to Ford service. They identified the problem, acknowledged that it exists and was unable to fix it. Now, I'm stuck with this car that shakes and seems unsafe as it shakes. Additionally, was told by the Ford dealer that other Ford Expeditions have come in with the same problem and have been unable to remedy. Even with a case open with the Ford engineers, they were unable to fix. Ford Motor company has been contacted about the issue along with the executive offices of Ford and the CEO.
