Tl* the contact owned a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that the vehicle had a strong hesitation. The check engine warning light randomly illuminated and the vehicle stalled numerous times. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic twice who replaced the EGR valve and vacuum line. The dealer also completed a manufacturer recall repair for the ignition switch; however, the vehicle continued to hesitate. While driving less than 15 MPH, the vehicle independently surged forward at a high rate of speed and crashed into the rear of another vehicle. The contact sustained a whiplash. A police report was filed. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was destroyed. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.
While driving I had slowed slightly down a hill and started to accelerate up hill, when I crested hill the gas pedal got stuck. I had 2 children in car. Got really scared. I quickly swiped my foot under pedal to knock anything blocking out of way, nothing there. I hit brakes, car kept going as it wasn't strong enough to hold it back. Threw car in neutral and the engine was screaming. As I rolled to side the pedal, with manipulation, became unstuck. This was a very scary incident, which could have ended badly. I researched on the net and saw many other complaints of this nature. Please do something. Consumers are being robbed of the 2nd biggest asset they spend their hard earned money on.
When on the road in warmer weather everything is fine and then all electrical components stop working windows, air conditioner, speed control, radio, not sure what else. All idiot lights come on, wipers come on and wont stop until key is in off position or if you keep driving it will eventuality come to normal but until it does, no windows, no ac makes it a hazard in traffic at temps around 100 degrees. Makes one wonder what will happen next because it gets real hot in the car real fast and it works on your mind. When the weather is cool it hardly ever happens but when it does occur its for a shorter time. Headlites say on but I'm not sure about the brake lites and turn signals.
I just got my Chrysler Town and Country, it hasn't even been three months since I got it and now the barometric pressure is low witch is causing other problems witch also cause the car to shut off while driving I have had one person tell me that the car shouldn't be on the road. I was mad because I only got it because I'm expecting my third child. I don't think its right that now I'm stuck with the car and the dealership can't do anything about it, don't get me wrong I love the car it just the problems I'm having with the car...the part that's on recall on my car I was told that Chrysler has made the part yet recall l25 I don't think I'll be getting another Chrysler.
Clockspring causing electrical malfunction very similar to that in which was a recall on this same vehicles just a few years prior. Seat belt light flashes and dings even when seatbelts are locked while driving. ABS lights come on periodically while driving, vehicle gear shift locks while vehicle is in park running causing vehicle to have to be shut off before it will release. Cruise control malfunctions while driving. Done research to other owners of this vehicle style and others have complained of similar findings, however seems noone has contacted you yet. When these problems started they have been an ongoing issue daily.

While in motion the car will just turn off, steering wheel locked and I could not steer. It has turned off on me while driving on the highway with my children. It will start back up but can not go longer than a mile before it does it again.
I have a Chrysler 2008 Town and Country with 66000 miles on it. While driving my van at approx 35 miles per hour the van suddenly flashed the electronic throttle control light, check engine light, and slippery condition light. The van lost the ability to press on the gas pedal and make it go. It continued to idle down the road, but the gas pedal made no difference on the speed I was going. I idled into a driveway, turned the van off, let it sit for approx 30 minutes, then restarted the van. The van started fine, but while driving it home it did the same thing. I idled the last 1/2 mile home to get the van in the driveway. The next morning I made a service appointment and drove the van to the dealership. It stopped running one time on the drive, which is approx 5 miles away from my house. I again had to stop the vehicle, put it in park, and restart the vehicle. …
