While driving on the interstate in January 2009 the heater blower fan suddenly went to full blast and full heat. Ii was not able to turn it off or down. After exiting the interstate and parking the Mini van, I turned the engine off for a minute and after restarting everything was normal. Later that same morning the heater again went to full blast with no input from me. I took the vehicle into the dealer and after 30 minutes, the service manager said it was fixed for now but told me I needed a new temperature control module; he would have to order one at $750.00, I replied that I'd think about it. During the next few weeks the problem occurred again and after turning the engine off everything seemed to work OK. Sometimes the problem would go away on its own. It was not until the weather began to warm that I discovered I have no A/C, although the freon level appeared to be OK. …
My husband, myself and our 4 year old daughter were driving our 2005 Chrysler Town & Country touring Mini van, all of a sudden was a loud bang sound. My husband was able to pull the car over and while doing so I looked in the back seat to check on my 4 year old daughter who had her face covered with both arms. We found the sliding door window on the passenger side had exploded and shattered. This has traumatized my 4 year old daughter and thank god she wasn't hurt. Our first thoughts were someone was shooting in our vehicle. The cops came to the seen and couldn't find any bullet marks, they stated it must have been a defect. I have contacted Chrysler customer service and there are supposedly no recalls with out VIN#. This could have been a very serious situation and I feel as if Chrysler should be held responsible for this. I am having to pay $100.00 deductible for this repair.
It first started by failing to turn on after a few times of trying to turn on the lights on the dash. It then progressed by turning off while driving in the city. It worked for a few months without incident until 2 months ago. After a cold start the lights would come on but after driving it to the store about 3-4 miles away and restarting the car it has failed repeatedly. I believe this to be a serious safety issue. I've had to drive home by manually holding the high beams on to get home. There was almost an accident due to this problem.

Turned the lights on as it was getting dark while driving and even on high beams it was if headlights were barely on. Also the left front blinker failed although the back blinker did work but flashed extremely fast. Replaced both headlights and still have to use headlights on bright to see as if the lights are on dim. The left front blinker and side light failed within a month of replacement. When replaced again, there was no change. The blinker/side light failed to operate.
