Purchased brand new 2010 Chrysler Sebring on January 24, 2011 from sterling hgts Dodge in sterling hgts, mi. Ever since I got the car, the idiot tire pressure warning light comes on after driving on the xway about 10 miles and stays on for a few days, then goes off. It comes on when it rains or is real cold outside under 20 degrees and stays on. I check the tire pressures on all 4 tires and there is nothing wrong. I drove it to the dealer, and they said that this is a common occurrence with these sensors. They checked my tire pressures and all were correct. Just drive it some more miles and the light will go off was what was said to me. This problem is consistently going on and off every week! Something needs to be done by some outside agency to force Chrysler to replace all these tire sensors. Every week like clockwork, the same thing happens. I am tired of it. …
Tl contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Sebring limited. The contact stated the tire pressure monitoring system and the information system were both defective. The TPMS did not indicate that the tires had lost pressure. The information system did not alert her to any issues with the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by a mechanic who could not pinpoint the problem. The vehicle had not been repaired. The current mileage was 36,270. The failure mileage was approximately 26,000.
The TPMS sensor failed and when it did it cracked in half releasing all tire pressure through the broken valve luckily my wife had already parked the car would she had been on the highway this could have resulted in a crash. This is the second sensor we have had do this I can not remember the date of the first.
Cab wires to battery caught on fire with family riding in vehicle part was order and replace two months later causing the alternator going out tire pressure light cuts off and on and engine light cuts off and on dealer told me it was still under factory warranty took it to the Chrysler dealer told them about the four recalls I found on the car and the dealer is saying the VIN number doesn't match but my car is have all the descriptions of all four recalls.
I reported these problems back in September 2011 after I was involved in a car accident on the freeway. On September 03, 2011, I was driving on south I-43 freeway. When I attempted to make a lane change, my car went out of control due to steering failure. I could not steer my car, my steering wheel was very loose and there was no connection between the steering wheel and the vehicle itself. I was struck by another driver that hit my car on the passenger-side by the rear lower side panel. No airbag deployed. My car slammed up against the concrete wall barrier on the passenger-side of my car. I have side airbags, airbags in my seats, underneath my dash, in my steering wheel, one on the passenger's side above the glove compartment, and in all four window seals of my car and not one airbag deployed. …
Takata recall I bought this car on 4/1/2019. On 4/11/2019 my car completely broke down on the freeway. There was a messaging saying hot oil. The engine stopped working and it said problems with tpm system. I had to get my car towed to the car mechanic because it wouldn't start at all.
