On our second engine now. The second engine is now doing the same as the first before it quit. The check engine light is now on and no one can seem to tell me why the car keeps stalling while driving at a variety of different speeds and conditions. When it stalls the car is still partially on. The power steering goes out and I can not accelerate but there are still a couple of lights on the display the same ones that turn on when you turn the key half way forward. I think the electrical is still on but the engine is off. Does that make sense? I am not a mechanic, but they can't figure it out either so I guess that wouldn't help! The check engine light code refers to the catalytic converter, but I have been told that it is fine. This is a Concorde lxi actually should be called pos instead of lxi. …

My car started making a lot of clunking and grinding noise when I would turn the steering wheel and when I would go over a bump while turning, so I took my car in to a car shop and they said that it was the tie rods on my car and that if I didn't get it fixed that I would more than likely have bad accident because the steering would lock up, so I am having my car repaired at my cost, when Chrysler should have taken care of this when it was first brought to there attention. My car is a 2004 Chrysler concord with only 61744 miles on it, I was lucky enough to know that there was something wrong with my car and have an appointment to get the tie rods fixed before I get killed, my appointment is nov 18, 2008.

I just got off the highway. While I was parking the vehicle I heard popping noise under the hood and I completely lost steering. The bolts holding the inner rods and rack and pinion broke off. After some research I found out that this is very common problem for this line of Chrysler vehicles. I called Chrysler customer service. They claim that this is not their problem because the car is not under manufacture warranty..

Chrysler Concorde lxi, model year 2000, mileage 71930: leaving driveway, turning right, upon trying to center steering wheel after turn, it would not turn back to the left and I ran off the road to the right. Minor damage. Backed out and only could steer left with extreme effort. Managed to get car back into the driveway. Call mechanic, told me rack and pinion had failed - common problem on 2000 Concorde. If I had been traveling at highway speeds, this would have been really bad.
