My foot never left the brake pedal (used to shift), and brakes were useless in trying to stop the car. After hitting the second car (totalling it) got car stopped by slamming gear shift lever into park. This is the 3rd instance of this happening in the milwaukee area that is known to us. Substancial injuries were incurred in second instance where car when through garage door with severe facial injuries. The 3rd car went through a window of a business. All 3 were 1999 Chrysler products. Chrysler refuses to accept any blame for the accident and sent us a form letter saying the car was okay when it left the factory.
