The contact's husband owns a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 equipped with Continental Tires, Tire Line: Cross Contact LX20, Tire Size: 275/55/R20, DOT Number: A32AWD401518. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at an undisclosed speed, the passenger's side front tire was vibrating. Upon inspection, the contact's husband noticed there was a bump on the passenger's side front tire. The vehicle was taken to a tire store where it was diagnosed that there was a tread bump on the passenger's side front tire due to a fractured tire tread belt. The passenger's side front tire was not replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact's husband to take the vehicle to an authorized tire dealer for inspection. The failure mileage was 37,619.
While pulling car trailer down the interstate on 6-27-26 at 70mph, my Free Country ST205/75R16 D106 10 ply trailer tire with less than 200 miles on it blew out. This was the spare for 2 years and has 9/32 tread depth on it still. I recently this spring rotated it to the LR of the trailer. Pieces of the tire blew onto and hit a passing SUV. Luckily nobody was hurt and I was able to get to the shoulder with only some fender damage. The tire was changed and with research I found the warranty was only 1 year. I was not happy with this, but moved on and bought another tire to replace it. I purchased four tires for my truck from Firestone, each rated for 60,000 miles. After approximately 30,000 miles, all four tires developed microcracking and visible damage. I suspect the issue may be related to the quality or composition of the materials used. I contacted the Firestone location where I had previously taken my vehicle for maintenance and tire service to have the tires inspected. While an employee was assisting me, I showed him photographs of the tires on the side of the computer counter to start the process to replace them, then manager approached to me rudely and disrespectfully asking me to go to the front, replaying to him : I am showing pictures of my tires asking me to leave the store just for that. Afterward, I had the tires inspected at Costco, where I was advised to replace them as soon as possible because represent a safety issue. …
leaf springs malfunctioned & yes its available for inspection. safety issues of cracking noise sounds like cracking in the suspension or axle. on 7/7/22 Lorenzo at Richland Chevrolet in Shafter, California confirmed & had it all day for inspection. no warning lamps or messages were provided. First appeared on 6/30/22. continental crosscontact LX20 P275/55 R20 111 t eco plus+ Tires are chopping & shredding safety & hazard issues are the tires can shred apart & cause an accident or death. on 7/7/22 Lorenzo at Richland Chevrolet in Shafter, California confirmed tires were having that problem & if there was a recall on them then General Motors would reach out to us. Then prior, on 4/28/22 during oil change & tire rotation service Lorenzo confirmed tires were chopping also. no warning lamps or messages.

The dealer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was a recall, but the tires were outside the date of manufacturing for the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the tires were beyond the three-year warranty and did not provide any assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.
Tires have 24,300 miles on them were factory installed upon purchase of vehicle in 2018. In April of 2022 while driving on freeway at 65 mph noticed a vibration in steering. Inspected tires when I reached destination and discovered the passenger side front tire had a bulge in the tread and was starting to separate. Replaced at a local tire shop and was told that they had seen numerous tire tread separations of this make and model tire. Goodyear Wrangler SR-A 265/60-20. Tire still had significant amount of tread remaining (Half Worn). In late May of 2022 had another tire tread separate from driver side rear of same vehicle.

The contact stated that while his son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the boat trailer's front passenger's side tire had a blowout. There were lumps and bulges on various parts of the tire. The contact's son was able to pull over and replace the tire with a spare. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure by email. The failure mileage was unknown.
My vehicle came equipped from the Factory with 18" wheels and tires and a 17" wheel and tire. The vehicle is equipped with 4 wheel ABS which fails to operate properly when using the factory equipped spare tire. GM recall a number of 2018 and 2019 vehicles with this very issue but did not recall my vehicle for this identical issue. I contacted GM who said if my VIN is not listed in the recall it is not an issue and they cannot correct the problem.
Purchased this vehicle from a used car dealership 2 months ago. Now the transmission seems to be going out with 132,000 miles on it and funny noise from the transfer case. I have researched and found numerous complaints about the drive train on this vehicle and as a disabled veteran I don't have the funds to have it fixed. How can I get a recall in place for this issue?
3 of the 4 tires on this particular vehicle (ALL 3 HAD SAME DOT#) had APEX SEPARATION @ the bead. 4th tire was removed for having the same DOT as the 3 failing tires. The tire size is LT265/60R20 FALKEN WILDPEAK H/T02 HD. Tires were installed on 12/17/2020 and the incident occured in June 2021 @ 11,500 tire miles.
