This truck is a 1500 Silverado custom with extended tail. There was a loud sound as if something happened , I moved to the shoulder and there was nothing visibly wrong. All tires had air in them, continued driving but did noticed a difference when I would back or turned to the right. Then days later one of my tires sort of was ruptured from the side of the tire and had to change tire. I put the spare and it is when I notice the bushing on both arms that hold the front wheels was loose. Looked for recalls and this model Chevrolet 1500 has a recall for front suspension arm bushing giving out and it is exactly what happened to my truck. …
Tire size 285/45R22 114H . While driving on the interstate at 70 mph had a large vibration that started occurring. When I was pulling over to figure out what was going on I heard a loud bang and suddenly lost air pressure to the Drivers side front tire. Once pulled over I could see the tire was flat. Upon removal of the tire I found the inner sidewall had blown. The tread was also separating in the area where the damage was. The tires are only 2.5 years old and have only 22.5k miles. They have been rejuvenate rotated with the last rotation just 3k miles prior. The company refused to honor their warranty stating it looked like the damage was caused by a pothole (which never occurred).
My truck starts shaking when I attempt to speed up or slow down, and it hesitates, shudders, and engages in a hard shift when changing gears. My mechanic could not fix it. Has been happening since Dec. 2018. Why is there no recall on this major issue?
Went to make left turn on wet road an it didn't turn it slide an kept going straight .it just doesn't stop it slides yes vehicle was moving the road was wet made this same turn for the last 30 years in many Chevrolet Silverado trucks an this has never happened different time everyone all traffic stops at once I tried to stop an I slide in to a vehicle so hard it hit the vehicle in front of it before stopping there are 4 of these trucks bought at the same time same truck same tire on all 4 vehicles and there all driving an acting the same way.
Sudden loss of steering including front end shake and braking problem.vehicle only has 6000 miles and both country club motors and Chevrolet corp.have denied and fault of there's.I am a auto tech of 26 years and ase certified in steering and suspension believe that defective front suspension parts are very much to blame but I am getting the run around from all ends.I believe this issue is a cover up and really needs attention
I am having an issue with my new 2016 Silverado and a vibration at highway speeds. I took the truck back to the dealer where it was purchased with around 340 miles on it. I was told they could do nothing until I had 1000 miles on the truck (they stated they could not get paid by Chevy for warranty items). That ticket stated they rebalanced my tires. This had no change. I took the truck back after 1000 miles. The dealer did a road force balance. This helped very little. Now, at 1345 miles, it is back in the shop. They state they will do a picoscope on the truck and check the axle. I should mention the underlying issue is a vibration that can be felt at speeds in excess of 65-70mph. It is more prevalent from 70-75mph. I have filed a complaint with GM, reference case 82405350103. This appears to be the same issue for the 2014-2015 models referred to as the "Chevy shake". …
Issue since new: only 100 miles. Leaf springs on 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 lt 4x4 truck is defective. Have taken it in for service on multiple occasions. All they will do is place grease packs on leaf springs, quieting (masking) the real issue. This temporary "fix" last only approx. 7 days and the loud banging and bouncing of bed is back. The vibration that is causes in cab along with the bouncing gives passengers headaches and is also responsible for terrible wear of tires. Trucks tires from factory are also bad and unsafe. In for service and did nothing. Was stated that they were 100,000 miles tires.... All tires cupped and worn to 40% and truck only had 24,000 miles. Called dealer to have issue addressed multiple times - they blamed the owners. We drive back and forth to work (mainly highway), keep it clean... Maintain it to perfection and no off road driving of any sort. …
Purchased brand new Chevy Silverado 1500 in 2016, noticed significant shaking of vehicle 11 months into owning. This vehicle is solely used for a daily to and from office job commute, consuming approximately 45 miles a day, mostly highway. The vehicle upon reaching 70 MPH shakes terribly, enough to shake my coffe out of the cup. At the same time I also began to notice the quick wearing and feathering/warping of my tires on the inside tread area. Took the vehicle to the dealership and was told I needed new tires, mind you at under 19,000 miles and the shaking "should" stop. Had the tires replaced along with an alignment and the issue still remains. The dealership has been consistent with giving me the run around. Spoke with several Silverado owners whom have the issues, some earlier in ownership while others sometime later. Apparently this issue has been given a name "Chevy shakes". …
Tl* the contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving between 60-75 MPH, the vehicle shook violently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (jim butler Chevrolet, 759 gravois bluffs blvd, fenton, mo 63026) who replaced the tires and rotated and balanced the wheels, but the failure continued. The manufacturer was notified and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 38,800. * consumer stated I had the dealer reinstall the original wheels and tire and the again road force balance tires and wheels the vibration was the same. When I bought this truck used in galesburg, il yemm Chevrolet 248 miles north of where I live, I had a clean carfax check given to me by the dealer noticed that it had a vibration so I put a new set of wheels and tires GM (factory wheels) the truck had the same vibrations after 6 times getting the wheels tire balanced (road forced) I was told the 5th time …
