What owners report
The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while using the left or right turn signals, the message "Check Left Front Turn Lamp" or "Check Right Front Turn Lamp" was displayed. During the failure the exterior turn signal had become inoperable. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,000.
While driving approximately 20MPH and entering a left turn lane, I activated the left turn signals and discovered the driver side front turn signal was inoperative. A cluster message appeared indicating the left front turn signal was inoperative along with hearing the audible double speed "tick tock" indicating a bulb failure. When I arrived home, I also discovered the daytime running lamp (DRL) on the driver side, which shares the same portion of the lamp as the turn indicator, was also inoperative. On the next drive cycle the fault cleared itself. A non-functioning turn signal increases the risk of a vehicle crash. This is also a non-compliance with FMVSS 108, Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. VOQ's 11584694, 11582809, 11577734, 11566682, 11561217, 11555917, 11548335, and 11528583 describe a similar failure and are happening early in the vehicle's life.
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while attempting to turn on the high beam, the Intell Beam high beam headlight failed to illuminate as intended. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer, who confirmed that the feature was not included in the software. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that after researching, the contact learned that vehicles of the same year, make, and model might have the system included in the software. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The manufacturer informed the contact that the feature was not meant to come with the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.
My front passenger side turn signal goes into hyper flash and doesn't work and my back driver side turnsignal and brake light does the same thing, so when I'm turning other divers have no clue that I'm turning that way which is dangerous, I've looked online and seen a lot of other drivers with this same issue and seems to not been resolved yet. I've paid a lot of money for this truck and I shouldn't have this problem, what do I need to do to get this resolved without spending my money for a problem that I did not cause?
The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the contact attempted to change lanes and the high beams automatically activated without driver input. The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic and confirmed that the high beam headlights were activating whenever the indicators were activated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
Transmission lags between 1st & 2nd gear some times as long as 3 seconds making transfer case hit hard . I have had this truck at the dealer 2 are 3 times with this and other matters , the maintenance technician reports he can not reduplicate my grievance , this malfunction occurs more prominently in cold weather in morning on first take off . All so turn signal malfunction at random no particular pattern , Tech. all so unable to reduplicate .
Body to frame ground cables corroded in half two different times within about 6 months. First time engine wouldn't start had to have it towed to dealer for repair, over 30 codes were shown when this happened. Next incident some of my lights were working intermittently and my steering was rendered inoperable for 20 to 30 seconds at a time making it impossible to steer the vehicle, several codes were found when this happened, I drove the truck to a Chevrolet dealer for repair. Both repairs were deemed to be corroded ground cables. Chevrolet has a "customer appreciation program" covering 2019-2024 Silverado trucks but for some reason my VIN number doesn't land in the program even though it has the same issues that are covered for the other silverados.
This is a huge vehicle. Side indicators were required back in 1968, and yet this monster truck doesn't have any definitive side markers. Also, the standard package does not have any turn indicators on its side mirrors. Even compact cars have this safety item.
