I was traveling on the interstate at about 60 MPH going uphill. I did not have it in cruise control. Iwas passing a semi. Suddenly the steering became very difficult, and the brakes seemed hard to push. I finally managed to get the car off the road and stopped. I put in park and got out to check and see if one of the tires had blown out, I left it running. The tires were fine. I got back in and put it in gear and eased down on the gas to see how it was going to go. It did fine, I drove it the rest of the day and it seemed to be normal. I am concerned this could be connected to the ignition recall back in 2014 and worry that it might happen again. My husband is attempting to get it looked at by mechanic.

The dealer stated that the brakes were lubricated and should be fine. Two months later, the tire pressure sensor illuminated on the instrument panel. The dealer placed air into the tire and the sensor warning light illuminated again. The dealer stated that the sensor malfunctioned; therefore, it was replaced and recalibrated. The contact then began to hear a rattling noise coming from the rear passenger side. The dealer stated that the bracket for the exhaust manifold malfunctioned and was repaired. The latch mechanism on the driver's side door malfunctioned and caused the door to shake rapidly while in motion. The dealer replaced the door latch. While driving 40 MPH, he suddenly depressed the brake pedal to avoid a crash on the interstate. …
Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, electrical system and on-board computer issues started occurring: tire monitor system (TPMS) in-op. Warnings randomly appearing in dash: check tire monitor system. Check left/right rear tire pressure. TPMS did not warn of a flat tire even though a significant amount of air was lost. Increasing no. Of issues with electrical system: keyless entry fails. Check airbag warning appears. Check A/C warning in dash. Ambient temperature gauge erratic. Compass showing n (or ne/nw but always incorrect heading). Cruise control will not resume at times or set incorrect speed (a few m/h higher or lower). Speed has increased on its own. Once, I noticed the speed at over 80m/h when I had set the cruise control at 70. Dash displaying warnings quickly and yellow warning lights flash briefly, which is extremely distracting and warnings cannot be read. …
Many Chevrolet vehicles have a long term problem with inadequate, defectively manufactured brake rotors causing the vehicle to violently shake, chatter, vibrate, etc., when the brakes are applied. The Chevrolet brake chatter, shake, pulsating, roughness problem reported by many Chevrolet owners is not only an annoying problem but also a safety problem!!!! The following is a personal experience nearly resulting in a serious accident primarily because of defective brakes on my 2007 Chevrolet Impala vehicle. Recently while traveling along an interstate highway with my wife driving, we were suddenly faced with an panic stopping requirement because of backed up traffic on a curve. My wife applied the brakes heavily and the car went into such a violent front shaking fit that she panicked and release the brake to stop the shaking and had to swerve to avoid stopped cars in front of us. …
I have a 2007 Chevy Impala with brake and tire issues. I have owned this vehicle since it was 2yrs old with about 32,000 miles on it. In the first year of owning it I had to replace brakes rotors due to warping four times and tires due to pounding three times. After filing a complaint with Chevy on their web site and getting no response and seeing other web based complaint site with similar complaints, I am sending this to you. Chevy tells me that these problems are caused by hard braking which isn't the case, I have been driving the same way for over 25yrs and have never had this problem. After spending thousands of dollars to try and correct the problem I gave up and have been driving the vehicle the way that is for awhile now. Recently because the tires were pounding so much and the brakes shaking so much at highway speed, it was hard to control the vehicle. …
