The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that while attempting to drive, the vehicle failed to move. The contact noticed there was no transmission fluid in the reservoir. The contact added transmission fluid, but the vehicle was still inoperable. There were unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who informed the contact that the transmission needed to be replaced. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 123,000.
I have been trying to enjoy this vehicle from the time it became part of my life. The first 6 months, I was unable to close the sunroof, because of that my passenger seat cracked since its been exposed to the sun for 5 years, the driver's side window could not roll down which we fixed; I never owned a vehicle where I could not access my trunk. The first 6 months of having this vehicle the lifgate became inoperable. the lift gate does not work. The sensors of the vehicle are useless, the car radioi does not work the cue sticks, which can be distracting and can cause an accident so I use the YouTube on my phone for entertainment. The sensors led to the transmission deteriorating to the point of the transmission fluid burning faster and deteriorating the components of the transmission. This is going to cost me 6000.00 These are known manufacture defects for the SRX 2014. Please help
I have taken my car to 3 different dealerships. Plus a transmission shop due to the vehicle do a jerk after it get hot sometimes. I was told the codes that were given to me that I needed a new transmission. I took it the vehicle to a GMC dealership first and was told my car was Cadilliac made and to take it to Cadillac dealership. So I drove 45 minutes to the dealership and paid another diagnostic fee and told it was old codes and they cleared those out . I came back two weeks later with this same issue. Since no one can tell me the issues with my vehicle I'm very concern about this jerk that the car does. it feels like when I go to stop the back of the car still wants to keep going. And each dealership states there's nothing wrong with my brakes or rotors. Please help me.
At lower speeds, especially after coasting, my car will lag for a few seconds before jerking forward. Also today I was coasting going about 25 mph and tried to accelerate and I pushed the pedal down and it wasn't doing anything for several seconds then decided to start speeding up. No warning lights have come on. This has been happening for a bit but today was the first time I was concerned for my safety as I was out on a major highway

The contact was concerned that there was a design flaw in the shifting linkage of the vehicle, which could cause the vehicle to idle between the park and reverse gears. The contact stated that the vehicle could also inadvertently shift between park and reverse, which caused the vehicle to lunge forward unintentionally. While attempting to place the vehicle in reverse, the vehicle failed to select the correct gear. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal in attempt to move the vehicle when the reverse gear engaged. The vehicle crashed into the neighbor's fence. The contact was not injured and a police report was not filed. The vehicle was taken to hoehn Cadillac (located at: 5334 paseo del norte, carlsbad, ca 92008) to be diagnosed, but the failure could not be duplicated. …
I purchased a 2014 Cadillac SRX and began having problems with the transmission 7 months later. I was experiencing hard shift changes constantly while driving, to the point where I almost caused an accident. I took the car to the dealer 5 times for a diagnostic review. Occording to them they did not find anything wrong with the car until I drove it there and physically requested a manager to come out and drive the vehicle with me. Then and only then they admitted something was wrong with the car, they kept it for 2 weeks and claimed they performed a complete transmission overhaul. I took the car home and 5 weeks later I was back at the dealership with the same problem, this time worst than the 1st time. By then my warranty had expired, they did not want to guarantee their repair and they wanted me to pay almost 3,000 dollars for transmission repair they claimed to have done. …
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 Cadillac SRX. On several occasions, while driving at undisclosed speeds, the automatic transmission was downshifted and the vehicle came to an abrupt stop. The contact also stated that there was a hesitation occasionally when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to shirey Cadillac (10125 s cicero ave, oak lawn, il 60453, [phone]) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The contact also stated that the Cadillac cue system, which controls the heating, air conditioning, defroster, radio, navigation, cruise control, and telephone service, was also inoperable. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
This car has a huge lag in acceleration when entering traffic and also when the transmission engine braking effect releases when slowing in traffic. When I slow down between 9-14 MPH, it's as though I have hit a speed bump. The car jerks back and then forward, like its bucking. It's so scary. While driving 70 MPH on i95 it did it and left me shaking. I looked in my rear view mirror like I had hit something, but in fact, its the jerking, bucking thing. This has been happening for a couple of weeks with the jerking but the lag in acceleration has been happening since I got the car. When I pull out into traffic, it's almost like the engine rev's but the car goes no where and other cars are coming and it's dangerous.
Sometimes while accelerating our 2014 Cadillac SRX will feel to studder or skip in eco mode or not. Sometimes while at a slow speed, 10 MPH, the vehicle will hard shift while accelerating or decelerating in eco and not. Sometimes while slowing through about 25 MPH the vehicle will surge forward very slightly in eco and not. After some research, it appears that 2013 models of the SRX had similiar transmission issues. Referencing recall numbers 14V212000 and 13V097000 with dates of 04/25/2014 and 03/15/2013, these recalls appear to duplicate the same problems that we're having in our 2014 SRX, lag in acceleration and transmission related engine braking effect.
