What owners report
The contact owns a 2026 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving 35 MPH, the rear panoramic sunroof exploded and shattered, causing shards and pieces of glass to fall inside the vehicle, onto the driver's side headrest, armrest, and on the center console. The contact closed the shade cover and continued driving to the residence, where the vehicle was parked. While the contact's wife was searching through the vehicle, she sustained a cut on the right forearm but did not seek medical assistance. The contact had not sustained any injuries. The contact stated that while driving to the dealer later, the shattered sunroof glass flew off and fell onto the tonneau cover. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that an assessment was being made to determine whether the failure had occurred due to an external impact. …
The contact owns a 2026 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving from a stop, the front driver's and passenger's side exterior side view mirrors created a blind spot. The contact stated that the mirrors failed to show oncoming traffic on the driver's or passenger's sides. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or a dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 25.
The windshield of my 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn was damaged by road debris and requires replacement. However, the manufacturer (FCA US LLC/Stellantis) has failed to supply the replacement windshield, rendering my vehicle undrivable for an extended period due to their inadequate parts supply chain. This delay creates a major safety risk because the vehicle cannot be driven legally or safely without a windshield. In emergency situations, the vehicle would be unusable, and I have incurred significant financial harm due to its inoperability. A new vehicle should not have months-long delays for critical safety components. The OEM supplier (Carlex) has confirmed that the windshield is in stock and available to ship, meaning the issue is due entirely to FCA's failure to place the order or manage their supply chain. …
The factory-installed tow mirrors on this vehicle present a severe safety hazard due to a major engineering and ergonomic design flaw. The physical size and placement of the side mirrors are excessively large, creating massive blind spots at the front pillars of the windshield. This completely obstructs the driver's forward-diagonal visibility, creating a "blind wall" effect that fully hides oncoming mid-size sedans, motorcycles, and pedestrians when approaching urban intersections, roundabouts, and crosswalks. This layout is entirely unsuitable for normal daily use and causes extreme driver distress due to near-miss situations. Additionally, the advanced safety electronics housed within these mirrors malfunction constantly. …
I'm reaching out regarding my 2024 Ram 1500 that has approximately 45,850 miles. I was smelling anti freeze while heat was in the on position, along with the driver side front windshield fogging up immensely creating a visibility issue. (definitely a SAFETY ISSUE) I've been told by Sansone Ram in NJ that the heater core/HVAC has failed. I'm very familiar with automotives and know for sure that a heater core should not fail this early on a 2024 vehicle. This is clearly a PREMATURE FAILURE it's not normal wear and tear. This truck is still relatively new, has been maintained and serviced when needed with Sansone Ram in New Jersey. This should be a RECALL, this is NOT a wear and tear item especially the car is less then 3 years old with only 46000 miles. They are charging thousands of dollars because of a manufacturer Defect.....
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The passenger side wiper stopped wiping, the arm is not moving up and down, yes How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? This is causing the passenger side windshield to not be cleaned impairing visibility/blind spot that would cause an accident. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Dealer saw the issue Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Dealer said it would take 3 days, has not been inspected yet as this is my only work truck Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? N/A, wiper arm just stopped moving one day
The back passenger window behind the driver shattered while I was in the vehicle. Window shattered from inside out no previous damage to the window , all of sudden it shattered. May daughter's car seat is on that side luckily she was not hurt because she wasn't in the vehicle at the time. But to think that she could have been because I was , I had just parked and the window directly behind me sounded like it exploded. RAM manufacturer does not want to take responsibility for this safety issue that is 100% a safety concern.
The issue concerns the steering column control module, when the turn signal is used or activate the turn signal self-canceling feature may not function properly. Either issue can cause confusion or reduce visibility for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash. I have asked the dealer to fix the issue but have told me they have been out of stock of the part and I have been waiting over 6 months for the fix with no resolution.
