I purchased this truck in November 2025. While in the service department for an unrelated repair (software update), a body panel defect was noticed and reported to me. The "uniside" panel on the driver side of the truck there is a split in the metal that should have never made it through the factory or especially to the dealership for a customer to purchase. This is a safety concern because the metal structure of the vehicle is compromised or could split further while driving down the road. I am working with my dealer to come to a resolution that involves replacing the vehicle, but we are still in that process so I am unsure of the outcome at this point. It is 100% a factory defect that should have never made it through production. Part of the process that they are having me go through in involves getting an estimate from a collision center. …
On multiple occasions with outside temperatures below 30-degree F the rear drivers side door would not open or unlock. The door lock knob was in the unlocked position but the door would not open using either the outside or the inside door handles. The handles moved but did not do anything. The door handle was not frozen and it only happened to that door. I believe this had something to do with the door lock actuator or electronics and it may be related to the outside temperatures. Once I turned off the vehicle and restarted the vehicle the door would open and work. This issue is hard to replicate and I am concerned that it will happen again and I will not be able to get my child out of the vehicle in case of an accident or fire.
I bought a new Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck from Lindsay CDJR located at 8100 Centreville Road Manassas VA 20111 on [redacted] and on [redacted] I noticed there are missing rear wheel shields on both sides of the truck. I called the Dealership and spoke to the salesman that sold me the car Said Hashemi and I sent him pictures of the missing parts and exposed wires and undercarriage and parts. He told me I could go to a local dodge dealership and get a quote for the parts and that dealership could call him and he would arrange for a charge to the Linsay dealership. I did this the same day 10/23/2024 and got a quote of $809.14 When I called from that local dealership Garden City Dodge in New York Said Hashemi then spoke to the sales Manager Mike Tatum who said they would not pay for them. …
The tailgate latches will not close or open properly. The latch on the tailgate has moved inwards causing it to hit the pegs in the wrong position. It will not close and if it does latch it can pop open. When it did open it didn't indicate the tailgate was down. I'm a general contractor and have a lot of tools/material in the bed of the truck. I'm worried something could have fallen out unbeknownst to be and caused an accident.
Tailgate unlatched one its own when I was backing up. It dropped and struck another vehicles bumper. Tailgate is smashed now. I was watching the back up camera and the tailgate was closed. It electronically opened itself and dropped down with me doing anything.
While driving on a busy highway, facing early morning sun, I lowered the driver side sun visor to help keep the sun out of my eyes. A few minutes later, the sun visor came loose at the left-hand side and fell onto my hands as they were positioned on the steering wheel. This startled me, caused me to be blinded momentarily by the sun in my eyes, and caused me to have to move the visor out of my way (it was partially blocking my vision as it was hanging there from the clip on the right-hand side of the visor). It didn't cause an accident, but it certainly could have. The visor came loose from the pivot point near the driver's side A-pillar, upper left-hand corner of the windshield. I visited a Ram dealer on the way home from work, to see about getting the issue fixed. This was in October. It's now December and the dealer is still waiting on the part. …
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 42 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and shut off. The driver pulled over safely and shifted into park(P), but the vehicle was difficult to restart. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated after the failure. On another occasion, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shut off and was difficult to restart. While driving at an undisclosed speed, the sun visor detached from the mount and fell, obscuring the view while driving. Additionally, the rear window seal was cracked, and water was leaking in several spots into the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on three separate occasions, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure, and the failure recurred. The vehicle was partially diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the window was not covered. …
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45-50 MPH in the rain, children in the rear of the vehicle informed the contact that the rear window was allowing water to leak into the vehicle. The water reached several electrical systems, including the rear braking assembly and the third brake light seal above the cab of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who informed the contact that the window and window seals needed to be replaced. The contact decided not to repair the vehicle out of pocket because of TSB Number: 23/098/23 Warranty Ext XL1, which addressed the failure. The dealer informed the contact that the parts for the repair were the same parts that needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not covered under TSB Number: 23/098/23 Warranty Ext XL1 because the TSB expired in 2021. The failure mileage was 53,467.
