What owners report

My vehicle has problems with the steering. I was told by my mechanic that my rack and pinon assembly column needs replacing because of a leak. My airbags intermittent work with a passenger sitting in the front seat. My car does this weird jerking motion when I try to accelerate. I not sure if it's my transmission or my engine. I have had the ignition switch replaced in my vehicle and I haven't noticed any changes. I was GM would address my concerns because I am greatly concerned for my safety and my families.

I left home one morning last year with my gas tank on a fourth of a tank of gas. When I got to work (20 miles away), the gas hand was on "e". When I left work that evening, the gas hand was back on a fourth of a tank. Before I could get home(20 miles away), the warning light came on that I needed fuel, however the hand was still on a fourth of a tank. The next morning, it was just below a fourth so I started to work. I ran out of gas and the gas hand was not even in the danger area. The gas tank has been off every since whenever the gas gets low in the tank and I have run out of gas on at least 4 other occasions. I feel this is a problem with Grand Prix's or pontiacs period but no one is reporting it because the car is no longer in production. This has been going on for over a year now and it worries me that I May run out in an area that May be dangerous or at night. …

When I start my car, it will stall out, not turn over or it will idle for a few seconds, then immediately shut off. I mean shut the whole car down so nothing electrical can work at which point my key will be stuck in the ignition and I cannot get it out. I am able to restart the car normally, however the steering wheel vibrates along with the body of my car while in motion and while parked. While making a left turn through a four way intersection, I lost control of my power steering and the wheel was stuck at first and then swung all the way back which spun my car around. This car has had 1 owner before me and I have kept up with all of my oil changes and tune ups. In September of 2018, I had a similar issue with the vibrating and was told that a cylinder was misfiring and that I needed a tune up. I spent $587 on these repairs. My vehicle was at 98,890 miles. …

Vehicle shut down at 55 MPH while inside eisenhower tunnel colorado. Husband calmly placed automatic transmission into park and restarted car. This type of incident has happened twice again since the original incident. Prior to the first incident car lost power coming up the grade at 65 MPH. We were forced over to the side of the interstate. After waiting for a tow (which was slow to respond) approximately 20 minutes, tried the ignition and the engine turned over. Never received an adequate answer from dealer. Suspect fuel problem with altitude, or ignition problem. Incidents always seem to happen at higher (55+) speeds.

I have 36,378 miles on my 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix and have taken it into the shop for rotors 2 times now. They have turned the rotors but the brakes are still not right and now of course its out of warranty. I have never had a problem with rotors in my life. This is not normal wear. I also have a gas tank problem when I fill it up, it will overflow. The service provider (osbournes in dubois, pa) say they can't get it to do it but it happens to me everytime I fill up the tank.

2005 Grand Prix 11,000 miles car started to have severe hesitations and stumbling problems, took car in several times between two dealers and still the car is not right, I have spent close to 3,000 dollars and my secondary warranty has put about 4500.00 dollars all in repairs and the car now only has 33,000 miles on it, it has almost caused me to crash because of loosing power and not able to accelerate into traffic, GM is not helping resolve this at all they keep saying they don't know, I have been told it is the fuel pump or fuel pressure but that they are unable to prove this to warranty company so that they will replace it, so far to correct the problem my car has had the " catalytic converter replaced, mass-map-pcv replaced all plugs and wires replaced, complete engine combustion cleaning and most recent the transmission, this car has been a complete nightmare not knowing when this …
