When I go to press on the brakes it would pull to the right ,and when I go to put on my signal light to the right my bright lights comes on and when I turn on my heater the door or something the shop told me was not opening for my heat to come out,and that's the problems I am experiencing, with the Pontiac they are excellent cars but has few issues, can you please help with fixing these problems.I've reported the problem three and a half years ago and I have not heard from anyone yet my number is [redacted]thank you for your time.
My vehicle had 32,000 miles on it when I bought it. It seemed that the steering had a good amount of play in it for only being a year old. My girlfriend was driving my car and hit a parked car. She was not injured. She said she didn't know why she lost control and was unable to steer it. It looked like the wheel came loose from the axle. The damage cost $3,000 to fix. The stabilizer bar and tie rod ends had to be replaced.
Passenger side rear suspension strut (spring/shock assembly) suddenly collapsed downward because lower spring retainer ring rusted away, allowing suspension spring to push downward and up against rear tire. Happened when we were pulling out of driveway, first heard a thump, followed by a dragging sound and then saw blue smoke coming from rear passenger side wheel well. At first we though a tree branch had gotten caught under the vehicle (we live in a rural area). Vehicle had to be towed from driveway for repair. Had this happened suddenly on a highway at 55 MPH or more we May have lost control of the vehicle. Examination of the strut on the rear driver's side showed it also was significantly rusted and no doubt it too would have collapsed at some future point. Both rear struts and damaged tire replaced by local repair shop.
Left front lower front control arm started to collapse due to severe rust through. There was no warning, only a sudden creaking and groaning noise and sone difficulty turning the wheels while driving home on country roads. Earlier in the day, we had been on the interstate traveling at 65 MPH. If this control arm fully fractured at that speed we would have lost all steering ability, this car has only 26363 miles on it.
Steering began to ride different and made some type of constant noise in the front suspension/brake area. Control arms, wheel hub bearings and front brakes were replaced. Now I'm told the rear tie rod ends need to replaced in order to align the care.
I have a 2004 Grand Prix gtp bought about 5 years ago take a year I bought it had to replace hub assembly on drive side car has leaked water in the passenger side floor that is cause my cowl is bad cant find one the about a year too later had to replace the hub assembly and the harness again and now my break is pulsating and now asked someone why its doing that they said its probably my hub assembly they should not see theses cars everyone I have talked to has had nothing but problems out of this year model I don't have the to fix this stuff would like to have it fixed for free.
Vehicle was turning north onto parker blvd. Off w. Bridge road when the steering wheel began to vibrate and lock up. Driver was unable to straighten the wheel heading north on broadway. Unable to control the steering wheel the vehicle hit the east curb before the vehicle came to a stop the right passenger tire broke off and the rear tire was flattened.
I have noticed for some time a clang on the front end when I hit a pot hole. I took it in to be checked out on three separate occasions and to three different service places and no one seen anything wrong. Over time it got louder and louder. I took it in this past time and found that I had two very large cracks in both sway bars the worst being on the front left side. The service technician stated a crash was bound to happen if it had gone undiscovered. I have had this vehicle since it was a few months old and it has never been wrecked in is in very good condition. The service technician also stated that this should of never happened considering condition of the rest of my vehicle and my mileage.
