What owners report

I recently purchased a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix from enterprise used car. They let me drive it around the block, it was comfortable. While I was driving it home on the freeway, it started to shake really bad. When I got off of the freeway I could hear this thunk in the back tire. So the next day I took it back and told them I don't want this car something is wrong with it. So they put it in the shop, and I test drove other vehicles. This took a couple of days. At the end of the week, I didn't find anything I liked. They told me my car was done, I told them I didn't want that car. They ended up pushing it on me. They said they put new tires on it. While I was driving home on the frwy, it started shaking at 65mph. I don't want this car. And they tell me they cant take it back. I feel they sold me an unsafe car. What can I do for them to take back their 15,000.00 unsafe lemon?

2008 Grand Prix gxp front wheel cracked, losing air with 24K miles. The week before it was brake pads and rotors. Total out of pocket expenses 1,200.00 in two weeks. I find this absolutely unacceptable for a car with bumper to bumper coverage. Just exactly what do they cover? Last I checked my wheels were between my bumpers, and if GM can't build a car road worthy of a michigan winter they should not be allowed to sell them here. This would be alot easier to swallow if it were a used car, but new with 24K miles is absurd!

Purchased 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix gxp new, with 98 miles on odometer, in March, 2007. Bridgestone potenza tires on all four wheels as OEM. Tires lose air (checked with professional tire gauge every week), down to 24 psi in all 4 tires, at same ambient temp, cold tires. When tires are cold, they run as if they are square. Bumping along, steering wheel shuddering side to side. Taken to dealer. They force-variance balanced all wheels/tires and aligned vehicle, including engine cradle. Car still had slight steering shudder, became worse over the next few hundred miles. Taken back to dealer. They state tires "out of round" but did not do anything to correct the situation except to add air, and tell me that one tire threw a balancing weight. …

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix with Goodyear Eagle ls tires, line size p225/60r/16. The contact stated the vehicle was taken to the dealer for routine maintenance at 36,000 miles and the dealer informed the contact that the tread had separated from both rear tires. I am writing a complaint regarding my car. I purchased the vehicle in 2006. I had to replace the stabilizer pin, wheel bearings, front brakes and it seems like something is wrong in the steering wheel. Parts inside of the car are falling off. I've had to buy new tires due to all these front end problems with the car and not knowing until it has caused a problem somewhere else. Now the tires that I purchased about a 1 1/2 year ago is now very worn from these front end problems with the car. I am very upset because I feel like, I have been robbed. I am a single parent working 2 full-time jobs just to pay for a car that seems to be breaking down on me no matter how much I try to take total care of it. Paying a very costly car note, insurance, and warranty. I tell myself is this what I am working so hard to pay for. This car out weighs what I pay for rent each month. …

The traction control feature is unsafe. When it comes on it causes the wheels to lock, prevents braking, and proper steering. This always happens in the rain. It has in the snow and even when it is dry. Once pulling into a parking space the wheels locked causing me to slide into the vehicle parked in front of me. When it happened in the snow it caused me to lose control and slide across the entire intersection luckily no other vehicles were present. And yes, I know how to drive in the snow. I was only going about 15 MPH and lightly tapped the breaks at the stop sign. When I remember to turn the button off after starting the vehicle it does not happen but sometimes it is hard to remember since it is automatically activated when the car is started. The times this has occurred I was either turning on coming to a stop and speed does not seem to make a difference. …

On Friday, September 9, 2005 at 7:30 pm I was driving on the expressway at approximately 60 miles an hour (in a construction zone). I felt a tire going flat. I pulled off the main highway got out an saw that my right front tire was flat. A tow truck was called, the spare was put on and the flat tire was put in the trunk. The next morning my husband and I inspected the flat tire and saw that the tread had separated, and the steel belt had punctured the tire causing the flat. My husband took the tire to discount tire for inspection of the other tires and replacement of the flat. While there he was told that the left front tire tread was beginning to separate also. We replaced both tires, but left the rear tires in place. The service advisor indicated he sees this 2-3 times a week on Goodyear tires. The tires are Goodyear Eagle ls; the car is a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. …
