I drove home a brand new 2019 Nissan Rogue sl AWD from the dealer on a Friday night with 9 miles on it. I drove it on the highway to go skiing the following day and then on Monday evening (after 3 days of owning car and 362 miles), the engine malfunction indicator light went on. Called dealer and they said to bring in to look at it and also the Nissan connect email stated to open/close gas cap. After doing so, a couple of start/stops, the light did not come back on. I called dealer and said if it comes on, I will bring in but let's wait and see. On Wednesday (day 5 and 440 miles), I was commuting home from work and while in middle lane of slow moving traffic on a state highway, 6 malfunction indicator lights all went on and the car felt strange. As soon as I could, I got into the right lane and realized I had no acceleration as if the car felt like it was in neutral. …
My new Nissan Rogue has only 356 miles on it . Universal Nissan sold it to me and the car's computer seems to be malfunctioning. It seems to be a hardware issue and not a software issue as they tried updating the software with no success. They were unable to fix the auto safety brake. It does not work for front pedestrians or rear pedestrian safety. The vehicle also does not apply the brakes in times of emergencies as it is advertised to do so. I have almost been killed in the car because the computer is malfunctioning and speeding up instead of applying the brakes. The car is a deathtrap. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs, they said I have to talk to the dealership. I also received a mild concussion when the lift-gate smashed down on my head after I was checking out the trunk. The lift-gate was opening on its own while I was driving on the freeway. …
Braking system did not function causing vehicle to rear end car in front of me when I was in heavy afternoon traffic entering I-565 from a downward ramp from overpass over I-565. Minimum damage to Toyota highlander hit from rear. Significant damage to front end of Rogue. Undriveable. Towed to body shop!
The automatic emergency braking system is engaging when there is not even other cars in front of my moving vehicle. I have taken the vehicle in twice for the same issue in less than 30 days. The first time it was taken in on 5/23/19. They said that a code c1a16-54 popped up stating the radar sensor needed to be realigned. Asked whether the vehicle was now safe to drive. Service personal said that it should be okay. I asked what would happen if it happened again. Told me to bring vehicle back and and that they would probably replace the sensor since they were having some issues with some of the sensors. Driving home on 6/19/19 the AEB system engaged again with no traffic near me. Took the vehicle in again on 6/21/19. After driving the car and checking for any codes, the service person stated that there was nothing wrong with the AEB and it was working properly. The car is a safety issue. …
On March 16th I had a accident that was a result of a known issue that Nissan is not addressing (more if I at www.nissanproblems.com/AEB ). Basically, when leaving a parking garage my car suddenly made beep beep beep sounds and stopped on its own and the car behind me hit my car. I have already reached to the insurance where I would just need to pay $500 deductible for the fix however the fix would only handle the bumper fixing and not the fact that the car is defective. I'd obviously don't want to keep this car. In this case I'd be looking for assistance with Nissan, with lease termination and with body injuries. Nissan requires the car to be untouched for their 'investigation' in a certified location (they claim my current shop is not certified even though it is listed in their site it is) where the entire process would take between 4-12 weeks. …
Tamara recall .... The vehicle was turning left lane on a city street when a car came out of nowhere the sensors didn't beep & the airbags supposedly had been serviced or repaired by dealer but they never deployed & it was a frontal crash . Plus dealer already had knowledge of this type of fault but still didn't bother telling me but put it in 1 of the service maintenance invoices and I think dealer is doing mischief please investigate ... Thank u 4 ur time.... P.s they have done repairs on the vehicle that are not required yet as well I am a certified auto technician a.s.e certifications
While driving vehicle it cut off and a got a message stating to check the chassis control system error. It was taken to dealer on Friday December 29, initially they said after running numerous test they couldn't find anything wrong so they gave me the keys and as soon as I drove off it did again, I immediately went back and they were able to see the message . They kept the vehicle and called me to inform me that they would be putting a new controller in the vehicle. On Tuesday jan 2 I was told my car was ready, I picked it up drove home with no problem. On jan 3 I drove to and from work with no problem. At approximately 700 as I was getting ready to go to church I turned the car on then all of sudden the lights started flashing and it wouldn't move or turn off, I also got the messsge again. My boyfriend disconnected the battery so that I would be able to turn the car off. …
The electrical and body modules malfunction ,the engine wouldn't shut off, tried to disconnect battery and it didn't work ,finally after pulling the fuse for the fuel it shut off, but couldn't start the engine back on. Had to be tow to the garage and I was told the warranty only cover one of the two modules that were bad. The total bill $1200.
