The progressive rattling/ shaking from the steering wheel has led to some close calls driving on multi lane roads the curve to the left at all. I've never had a single service light turn on even though steering and wheel issues were apparent. Every bump and cranny on the road is felt causing disturbance in ability to steer especially during in town driving.

On 3/15/2023 while in traffic (0730) the traction light began to fash & the vehicle began to fishtail. Fortunately I was Abe to exit the expressway without an additional incident. Had the vehicle towed to Fred Martin Nissan in Akron, OH this is the dealer that has maintained my vehicle since 2010 & the only service department that has repaired my vehicle. I was advised the rear subframe was broken! 3/3/2023 I had the vehicle aligned at Fred Martin at which time I advised the vehicle pulled to the left while breaking & a noise intermittently was coming from the back of the vehicle. This incident could have cost me or another their life or serious injury! This is a HUGE safety risk & Nissan needs to address the issue immediately!

I purchased my car, used, from Nissan of canton (michigan), on sept. 23, 2016 where there were no disclosures of any safety concerns due to structural or other concerns. On March 15, 2018, the right rear of car made a metal snapping sound and began driving poorly so I took the car to an ase certified mechanic who found "the rear frame has rotted out where the torsion arm mounts to the crossmember". I was told the sub-frame shows signs of excessive rust and corrosion such that, the car never should have been put up for sale by the Nissan dealer in 2016 as the rot and corrosion of the frame is a safety concern. The mechanic indicated that when the car is on a lift, the corrosion, rot and excessive rust is evident and shouldn't have been missed by the mechanic the Nissan dealer's used to ensure the car was safe to sell. …

Tire pressure monitoring system is not working although the air pressure is kept as requested. The light is always ON which makes identification of loss of air pressure difficult to dictate, and can cause loss of vehicle control and serious damage in highways.

My car incurred a flat tire. Car towed to dealer who said the flat was caused by a screw which is worn away and caused the tire sensor to display and the flat occurred. Serving dealer said I need to replace all sensors and screws. I checked online and found a recall for this very issue. I found through the dealer that the recall was performed on only one sensor/tire...not all of them. Now I have a bill for over $550 to replace all the sensors and screws even though the recall was never fully performed. Contacted Nissan headquarters and they said the recall was closed out. I explained the recall was never fully completed. They still do not acknowledge this is safety issue. Driving to work in the rain the vehicle began to sway when breaks were applied. The back of the vehicle went right and the car went left. I moved to the right lane and the vehicle fishtailed! I was totally afraid that I could drive into a ditch or be killed on the highway. I drove very slowly to the repair shop, after inspection, I needed struts but then the mechanic looked further and saw that the rear k-subframe was completely corroded and unable to be welded. The one piece was completely apart from the other. A danger to drive. Once I began to look for a replacement part, I began to see how many other Murano owners have had the same issues with the subframe rusting out. This is absolutely crazy that this part is not recalled as the part is defective in the construction of it. Nissan should be ashamed. My life and my daughter's was at risk. …

2007 Murano · Jul 2023

The rear subframe rusted off on drivers side. I financed this car only 10 months ago and now I can not drive it. It is very dangerous to drive, and the mechanic told me I should no longer drive it because of how dangerous it is. I have seen numerous complaints about people having the same rear subframe rusting. I can not afford to get it fixed and I'm still paying on the car. I got it for $7,500 and have put over $2,000 in it. I still have $4,500 left on it. They need a recall, this is a safety hazard for not only the driver and passengers, but for civilians walking or driving by the car, which at any moment the tire can fly off. Please recall the vehicles before someone puts in a lawsuit.
