Because they have not sealed the screws on the interior side of the roof that hold the rails on top of the Jeep it now leaks since we have attached a kayak rack to those Jeep factory placed rails. Jeep is not willing to repair it and it requires tearing out the complete interior headliner to repair. After it rains the water sits in the door frame and leaks into the floor of the backseat causing molding issues (last good rain we got I ended up with an inch of water sitting in the back floorboard). It also collects in the front interior light fixture so when you drive and come to a stop there is water coming down all over the dashboard and the electrical/computer components of the dash. …
Tl* the contact owns a 2017 Jeep Patriot. While driving 65 MPH, the steering wheel vibrated and the vehicle pulled to the right after a stop. Also, the tire pressure warning indicator was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to kunes country Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of oregon, 601 gale street, oregon, il 61061) where it was diagnosed with a bent rim. The exact rim was unknown; however, it was replaced. The contact stated that the failure persisted and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the front passenger side lower control arm was bent. The control arm and axle shaft were replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer a third time and was awaiting diagnoses. The contact mentioned that the headlights were also turned towards the ground and the dealer adjusted the direction and replaced the passenger side head lamp. …
Head lights continue to dim way down. And now they flicker occasionally. Has not been looked at by anyone except a mobile mechanic. There is no warning, it doesn't happen only over bumps, it happens very randomly, and you never know when. Ive has the mobile mechanic add a set of LED lights because the headlights dim way down, to the point that the bright lights barely light the road to see. No certain dates, it happens randomly, many times since I've owned it, since 2021.
The suv uses large amounts of oil, no matter what brand. Also an electrical issue is present. The radio stops working, thr check engine light stays on. And the headlights dim way down. This happens randomly. The engine code reappears for p420, and i have fixed every component related to the code. The suv consumes approximately 2 quarts of oil in a months driving. The headlights dim so low, even with brights on, you can barely tell they are on.
Turning lights on in the car and the dash lights flash 5 - 6 times then go out. Doesn't matter if vehicle is stationary or moving when this occurs.headlights, radio & dome light still work as well as turn signals and 4-way flashers. When lights are on, I do not have any running lights, tail lights, interior dash lights or cup holder lights. Checked all fuses and all checked good. All indications point to bad totally integrated power module (TIPM). Vehicle is 2 years old with no after market wiring. Not having running or tail lights is a big safety issue/concern.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Jeep Patriot. The contact stated that the turn signal socket was faulty. The contact researched online that the part was defective. Kunes country auto group of macomb (3200 e jackson st, macomb, il 61455, [phone]) informed the contact that the parts and labor for the replacement bulb would cost $350. The manufacturer stated that there was no recall and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was 110,000.
The "gate" light will come on and off and so will the all the lights in the vehicle and it will do it off and on. I am not paying to fix it. I never had a problem with it before and I've had this Jeep for almost a year. I was in a hit and run in August and my Jeep didn't do this until I got it back about a week afterwards.
The front turn signals fail continuously as the turn signal units leak and fill with water causing the bulbs to short out. I called one dealer in the past and was told they were not covered by my warranty due to my vehicle's age, it's a 2014. The cost to repair is expensive as you have to access the turn signal unit through the front wheel wells to change the bulbs. The bulbs are inexpensive but the labor is costly due to the labor required. I have had to replace bulbs once every 12-18 months due to this problem. Most recent failures are detailed below, once agin both turn signals have failed.
