Active lane management jerked me off the road disabled my forward and rear crash detection sensor and my automatic high beams were disabled all simultaneously without warning or any sign scared me and my family since then my forward crash section is permanently on and will not go off I have no active lane management it disabled and said service and for the past 2 weeks has been nothing but electrical failure after electrical failure my dealership says there nothing they can do except clear the codes and reboot the system and see if that helps (we did that it didn't work either) so I feel like I'm paying for something that has only lasted me 17,000 miles and is about to quit because the computer in it or something is causing my jeep to be unsafe

Vehicle started show MULTIPLE errors on dash from blind spot not working , lane assist not working, AEB need to be checked, rear brake light not working, turn signal not work, lane assist not working and other errors. Went to dealership for these errors where they repaired a faulty sensor on the front for the lane assist and from collision. Said it was fixed...It was not. Within a hour leaving the dealership, if you pressed to turn off the power save button for when the vehicle when it comes to a stop and not idle, the errors all pop up one after another.. they did not correct any of the errors. I check back lighting and they are on and working but errors say they aren't. Front collison day is it not on but it works and alarms a sound. This is dangerous and if it will have dangerous outcome given it would not correct. …

Blind spot detection · Sep 2025

On February 18, 2026, while driving approximately 30 mph, the vehicle's automatic emergency braking system activated unexpectedly. There were no vehicles, pedestrians, or obstacles present. The vehicle came to an abrupt stop, causing the tires to squeal and creating a hazardous situation. A second incident occurred on March 14, 2026, while traveling approximately 55 mph. Under normal driving conditions with no apparent hazards, the automatic braking system again engaged suddenly and without warning, bringing the vehicle to an unsafe and unexpected deceleration. This malfunction poses a significant safety risk, as it could lead to rear-end collisions or loss of vehicle control, endangering both the driver and other motorists. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership on March 16, 2026, for inspection. Initial diagnostic testing reportedly found no issues. …

Adaptive Cruise Control & Phantom Braking: On multiple occasions while traveling at highway speeds (approx. 70 mph), the vehicle has engaged in aggressive "phantom braking." Despite clear road conditions and no vehicles or obstacles in the vehicle's path, the system suddenly slams on the brakes, dropping the speed to 50-55 mph. This creates an immediate risk of a high-speed rear-end collision. The instrument cluster frequently displays service warnings for the FCW, ABS, BLIS and the lane departure systems. Transmission & Powertrain Hesitation: At lower speeds, the transmission exhibits significant hesitation and "sputtering." When attempting to accelerate from a low speed or a stop, the vehicle falters and fails to engage smoothly until significant additional throttle is applied. …

We purchased our 2024 jeep Compass on 12-10-2024 with about 3,000 miles on it. Our problems started on the vehicle on or about Nov. 2025. First the lane assist would go out and we were unable to turn it back on, when we tried the light in the button would blink 2 times then stay on. We reached home and shut car off and when we started it we pressed lane assist and it worked. We drove it for about 3 weeks then it happened again. My wife pulled over and tried to turn on switch again. It blinked 2 times and stood on, she shut off car and then restarted it and the switch worked and lane assist came on. We brought car to service senter and they adjusted front camera and cleared code. the lane assist goes out about once a week and we shut car off and restart for it to work. Now about a month ago all the lights on dash went on and the warning lights on both mirrors stood on. …

The vehicle suffers from severe, persistent electrical and powertrain failures that compromise safe operation. Multiple Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) have completely failed, including the Lane Keeping Assistance, Blind Spot Warning, and Forward Collision Warning systems. When driving, the vehicle constantly flashes erratic dashboard warning messages and emits continuous warning chimes without cause. In addition to the electrical failures, the powertrain malfunctions; the vehicle jolts violently upon acceleration, behaving as though the transmission is failing.Safety Risks: These failures create immediate safety hazards. The unexpected transmission jolts cause unpredictable acceleration when merging or stepping on the gas. …

Warnings · Feb 2025

The electrical system in my 2025 Jeep Compass repeatedly displays multiple warning messages, including issues with the engine, AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking), and "Start/Stop Disabled." Recently, the airbag warning light has begun turning on and off daily, advising to "get service." When I bring the vehicle to the dealership, the error codes are no longer present, and the technicians say they cannot duplicate the issues. However, while driving recently-with no other vehicles nearby-the AEB system suddenly activated, causing unexpected emergency braking. This is extremely dangerous and could easily lead to an accident. I'm very concerned that the safety features intended to protect me could instead cause harm. The airbag warning appearing and disappearing daily raises fears that the airbags could deploy unexpectedly, especially since service technicians cannot reproduce the warnings. …

The vehicle experiences severe, recurring electrical and drivetrain failures while operating at highway speeds (up to 70 MPH). On August 8, 2026, while driving on the highway, the vehicle suffered a sudden loss of motive power/drivetrain engagement accompanied by non-stop audible warning chimes, cluster warning light cascades, and an SVC 4WD (Service 4WD) message disabling drive modes. This sudden loss of power on a high-speed highway created an immediate, near-miss collision risk for my family and surrounding traffic. Service & Repair History: The issue has recurred across multiple dates (June 30, July 4, July 10, July 14, and August 8, 2026). The vehicle was held by Castle Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Naperville for nearly three weeks (July 14 - August 7). …
