I was told when I drove in 1 day early dec .2024 and called another 3 times day around 1st WK of .told availability .threw Xmas . When I tried getting it in there in December, with my complaints of same issues,no appointment was able to be given . Until mid january no temporary vehicle offered .I asked ,was told that's too long .they couldn't offer me 1 . …
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Compass. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, he heard abnormal grinding sounds coming from the front driver's side wheel area of the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the Forward Collision Avoidance Emergency Braking System and Pedestrian Emergency Braking System was independently disabled. The message "Forward Collision and Pedestrian Brakes Turned Off" was displayed. The contact stated that the Automatic Emergency Braking System would engage inadvertently while there were no vehicles or objects nearby. The contact stated that the emergency braking system engaged while he was depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two separate occasions and the dealer informed the contact that they could not duplicate the failure. The contact stated that the failure persisted. …
Several incidents with the screen/safety features. Have had it in for service several times and it is either stated that it needed an update or nothing was found to be wrong. Two times the radio was replaced. I am into the third year of my lease and there are still intermittent problems -- one being that my backup camera alert did not go off and i ended up backing into a car that came out of no where. Also, have gone to back up and pedestrian warning did not work which could have been a real issue if I had not seen the pedestrian. I can get no assistance from Jeep which I have called several times. I personally do not feel that I should have to pay to have the damage repaired from the backup accident when it was caused by a failure from backup assistance. Have incurred many problems through out the entire time I have had the vehicle. …
Note: The vehicle is totaled, and GEICO Insurance is in possession. A month ago, we received Brake warnings. We brought the vehicle to a mechanic to get checked and it passed. We did not get the warning again. 2 weeks ago, while turning into our driveway, as we were almost stopped, but still in the turn, the vehicle made a noise similar to the Auto Stop/Start feature. The power brakes and steering stopped working (everything was stiff). The car accelerated, and we hit the corner of our garage (because we did not complete the turn into the driveway). The vehicle then hit a tree where it came to rest. The collision avoidance, didn't kick in. Unsure about the final speed of the vehicle, but it was fast enough to deploy the airbags and total the vehicle. There is a police report with the Closter, NJ Police.
since new collision avoidance/other safety features will just shut off was in for service several times to correct problem finally jeep got involved for latest software update 4 days later system failed again set up another appt with jeep/dealer unfortanetley vehicle was involved in collision with school bus prior to appointment. i could sometimes be able to turn system back on thru touch screen and sometimes would not allow function to be reset i had reset feature after last failure but it failed again and as previous just randomly while traveling had system been functioning as intended it would have avoided this collision

The manufacturer was contacted, opened a case, but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 21.
There is a known issue with multiple 2022 Jeep Compass trims and models that, after long periods of driving (about an hour), the volume for all components utilizing sound becomes barely audible even at max volume. This affects all warning systems including blind spot, lane departure, etc. Upon turning off the vehicle for long periods of time (a few hours) the volume will return, but the issue will occur again if driving for an hour plus with short stops. Jeep has acknowledged the concern for over a year on Jeep forums and dealers are not helpful regarding the issue. Jeep states there will be an update to the UConnect system controlling audio functions in Q4 2022. But Jeep has yet to release an update with 2 weeks left to go in the year despite knowing of the issue since end of 2021. …
Over the past several months vehicle has been repaired four separate times by dealership and issue keeps recurring. Forward collision sensor, blind spot indicator, and active lane assistance intermittently malfunction creating unsafe driving situations that have almost caused several major accidents involving multiple vehicles. Examples of near misses of collisions include forward collision activating incorrectly when there aren't vehicles or objects in front of vehicle when turning through intersections and brakes are applied stopping vehicle from safely clearing intersection from oncoming traffic creating a potential collision from on coming traffic when unable to accelerate to avoid impact. …
Collision warning system has malfunctioned more than 3 times and has been brought into the dealer. My vehicle is equipped with collision warning and active braking. Typically when the collision warning occurs if I do not manually hit the brakes immediately it will brake the car for me. The first 2 times it occurred in a residential area at low speeds with nothing in front of me. The system flashed the brake warning when there was absolutely nothing in front of me. In both of these instances I was lucky that there was no car following behind. The dealer was not able to replicate the issue or find an error with the system. The 3rd and most recent time it occurred on the highway at a speed of around 65MPH. …
I am having a persistent issue with this vehicle involving the lane keep assist and pedestrian collision sensor. This issue has been present since purchasing the vehicle in December of 2021. I have had it in to two separate dealers a total of 6 times with no solution yet. The issue occurs when traveling down the road above 35 with the active lane assist enabled. Intermittently the vehicle will act as if there is a significant steering misalignment and the vehicle will attempt to pull you out of your lane into other lanes and you have to fight the steering assist in order to not depart your lane. Some times with the issue the car will throw a code stating "Active Lane Management (ALM) Unavailable Service Required" and turn the ALM off. The dash light will stay illuminated until the next key cycle and then disappear. The other issue with this system occurs when taking a 90 degree turn. …
