What owners report

The consumer turned on the defroster and it was on for about 30 min. Ten minutes after the vehicle was turned off the rear windshield exploded into driveway and street. The consumer called the police and dealership to send someone to check car. The consumer wanted the dealer to inspect before cleaned up but they refused any responsibility because the window tint installed was against the handbook rules.

Extremely cold morning and used the rear window defroster and it shattered the rear window. Told by the dealer it was caused by the window tint that was installed. I had a 99 Rodeo with after market tint and never had any problems.

Rainwater is leaking through rear window washer nozzle. This part has been replaced twice in the last 3 weeks & it still keeps coming loose. Water leaks have been reported since April 2001 & just recently confirmed in July 2002. As a result, mildew odor has permeated entire interior of vehicle. I have asthma and mold induced allergies and I am concerned for my health.

I own a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo ls, 6cyl, auto vehicle with 24,000 miles on it. Recently my intermittent windshield wiper function stopped working completely and when engaging wipers at full capacity upon turning them off the wipers will stop in the middle of the windshield. This is a safety issue I had my dealer russel Mazda troubleshoot; they identified the problem as a "short" in an alarm control relay but didn't indicate what was causing the short- I suspect my wipers are no longer reliable and could go out at any time which could have fatal consequences in a bad rainstorm. My vehicle went out of warranty in September of 2002 and the dealer quoted $306 to replace the malfunctioning relay; I discussed the matter with the Isuzu corporate personnel and with the local dealer who in turn contacted the Isuzu area rep who said it's out of warrant and he couldn't provide any assistance. …

1999 izusu Rodeo with multiple problems: ie: ABS brake light won't go out. Have had vehicle serviced however when coming to a stop, vehicle slides. Gas gauge light won't go out...tank is full...repair price-crazy. High idle-foot on brake and vehicle lunges forward. While driving, vehicle picks up speed quickly. Windshield wipers erratic-sometimes they work, sometimes they don't and sometimes they just stop right in the middle of the window. All of these are safety issues. I'm finding that some owners fell under a recall to fix these items but I don't. I don't understand that. Do I have to kill or be killed first especially with the breaking issues? Updated 10/23/07

1998 Isuzu Rodeo ls. Within a period of 3 months, both of the swivel type side rear view mirror assemblies have shown a defect which causes the internal spring mechanism to fail and render the units inoperable. The mirror cases come loose to the point of nearly falling off the base unit that is attached to the door. The left side was replaced 3 months ago. Recently the same failure has happened to the right side assembly.

This specific car with this VIN number is missing the back window and just a piece of wood is covering where the window should be. Grocery bags and rags are sticking out of the wood.
