What owners report

In Florida, I purchased my 2004 Isuzu Rodeo March 2005 at 134 miles. I've always had issues, but didn't know how to articulate the issues. My truck sits/leans to the right and low in the back. It is uneven as if the shocks or struts are off. Driving one night, the truck slams down/drops low out of no where while driving. When I am driving and need to brake, I have to brake then brake again. I dare not make any sharp turns by parking or anything it's like the truck will slip or axels bend. I am have trouble with the engine currently(September 2022). Oil is leaking but you can't see from where. The engine is making loud rambling sounds. The exhaust sounds muffled. My car parts are not exact because my Rodeo is built like a demo, seemingly. Power Reduced & check engine light happens randomly usually while on the expressway. It slows the vehicle down in the middle of flowing traffic. …

A non-certified mechanic performed a temporary repair on the vehicle to stop the brake fluid leak. In addition, the contact had to make several attempts to remove the key from the ignition switch. I pulled into a handicap parking spot in front of a supermarket, put it in park, set the emergency brake. Got out out vehicle, locked the doors. Started to walk away and a guy that was sitting at a table in front of store yelled there goes your car. I ran beside the car to try to open the door to no avail. The car crashed backwards into another vehicle. The police were called and was told by them to call insurance company and to leave if both vehicles were okay to drive. I feel the park gear failed and the emergency brake failed. This has happened before just in park a couple of months ago.

When the ABS engaged the vehicle failed to stop and accelerated forward. This occurred on 4 separate occasions, once resulted in the truck hitting a brick wall. There was an ABS recall 02i002000, but it only affected earlier models. Also, grinding noise was observed by consumer. Isuzu was contacted by consumer regarding the incident (case #4029006). Consumer made some research and found out that many consumers have experienced the same problem with Isuzu Rodeo vehicles. Dealer agreed to replace ABS module which was recalled in earlier models.

2001 Rodeo · Antilock/traction control/electronic limited slip · 17,000 miles · Jan 2004 · crash

After exiting a parking lot and when approaching the traffic signal (already red) at a speed less than 5mph (the signal was approx 5 car lengths from the parking lot exit), while further slowing (braking) to line up behind the last of the 2 cars already stopped at the signal, the Rodeo unexpectedly accelerated which required the driver to aggressively and continuously apply the brakes. The Rodeo slowed but could not be stopped within a distance of approx 2-3 car lengths and resulted in contact with the 2nd car which was stopped at the signal. After exchanging insurance info with the involved parties, the Rodeo was driven directly to ckm auto service to diagnose the cause of the unexpected acceleration. Ckm did not find sources which May have created this problem ... Ckm also retained the Rodeo and drove it a period of days to attempt to recreate the problem. …

I took the dealer Isuzu to lemon law and I was told it works as designed. The jury was so stupid it was un believable, they all came up to my wife and I and said make sure you take the car to the dealers to get it fixed. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh isn't that why I am here in court? Good luck people are stupid and we are stuck driving an unsafe care because consumer reports will not get involved. Lemon cars for sale any Isuzu cheap (related vehicle information: model year=2000, make=Isuzu, model=Rodeo).
