We have had already had two issues with our Hyundai Santa Fe that we purchased new from a dealer on 5/21.The first malfunction happened on 7/23. While driving, we had several messages come across the dashboard warning that some sensors were not working properly. We then had the warning light, front collision light, the traction control light, the abs light, the auto hold and the emergency brake all light on the dash. We also lost the blind spot sensor on the side mirrors. Called the dealer and took the car in. Two days later was told it was a wheel sensor and all should be good. Then on 8/31, while merging onto a highway, I pressed the accelerator and although the engine revved, the car did not increase in speed. Luckily the car behind me was able to swing around me and I put on my hazards and pulled to side of the road. I turned the car off, restarted it and pulled out. …

A few days before the complete engine failure the car became very jerky on the throttle response I would slowly add throttle and the car would jump all over the place with RPMs and felt extremely jerky when shifting gears. At one point the engine downshifted past redline when decelerating off the highway. The day of the engine failure I was accelerating up hill after leaving a stop sign. Around 25 mph the throttle stopped responding and the engine went to idle around 800 rpm. The car started violently shaking and sounding like it was running on 3 cylinders. I tried the throttle again and nothing happened. At this time I was slowing to a stop on the hill while still in lane being unable to get out of lane to the shoulder. Upon coming to a stop the vehicle continued to shake and eventually the engine stalled while keeping the electric on. …

The car has been taken to the dealer multiple times for not accelerating out of 1st gear when starting up, and also for shuddering at high speeds. We have been stranded, hundreds of miles from home on 2 occasions, first with less than 30,000 miles because the spark plugs needed to be replaced. And the second occasion, also hundreds of miles from home, because the car failed on the highway and limped into a dealership, where one of the fuel injectors was replaced at approx 50,000 miles. The mechanic at this dealership voiced his concerns that these were the original fuel injectors, He said he was aware of the problem, but was only permitted to replace one of the fuel injectors. The car continues to shudder at occasionally, and refuses to shift out of 1st gear at odd times. We have tried to get Hyundai to replace the fuel injectors, but they refuse. …

At approximately 67,000 miles, the vehicle experienced a sudden vibration when accelerate and decelerate. Engine light was on and vehicle had a hard time to maintain speed above 40mph. Cars were honking behind us due to the lack of speed on road. It happen all of a sudden and cause me and my wife panic at first. The car was took to the closest dealer ([redacted] Hyundai [redacted]) and they found the problem was due to an internally leaking fuel injector, requiring a complete out-of-pocket replacement. This is a known, widespread manufacturing defect directly addressed by Hyundai Technical Service Bulletin TSB #25-FL-001H (which supersedes 23-FL-002H-1). …

In November 2025, my 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe began to hesitate when accelerating and would almost "jerk" when I pressed the gas pedal. Soon after my check engine light came on and I made an appt to take it for the closest Hyundai dealership (as it's still under warranty 33k miles) Upon running a check the dealership notified me that Fuel Injector 1 has misfired and will be replaced. I receive my vehicle back and not even 100 miles later my check engine light in on again and the same issues are arising. Back to the dealership to see now Fuel Injector 3 has misfired and there is an open TSB showing all 4 Fuel Injectors need replaced. My vehicle was finally returned to me in January 2026. It is now February 16, 2026 and my check engine light in on YET AGAIN. I've been given the run around from Hyundai Corp about fixing this vehicle. …
