There is a recall for the displacement of my 3rd row headrest. I have small children and are in the 3rd row daily. Also, although my 3rd row is under recall for mechanical issues, my 3rd row did malfunction and close on items in the 3rd row on 4/5/26. The sensors didn't detect that there were larger items in my vehicle and continued to close down. Also at this time, the right side wouldn't raise back up after me pushing the button multiple times. The seats not returning to an upright position with pressing the button, has happened multiple times. I never received notification that there are safety recalls on my vehicle. The reason I was given by Hyundai was that I didn't receive the notifications was because I didn't purchase my car from a Hyundai dealership. I am extremely concerned for the safety of my children in my vehicle. …

Vehicle has been at dealership since March 21, 2026 due to multiple active safety recalls and unresolved repair issues. Dealer confirmed recalls involving defective seat belt buckle assemblies that may fail to properly latch and a separate recall involving third-row occupant protection/ejection mitigation safety standards. One recall currently has no available remedy or repair solution. Vehicle has remained out of service for an excessive amount of time waiting on backordered parts and unresolved safety repairs. Manufacturer and dealership have not provided a clear repair completion timeline. Dealer communication has been poor and calls often go unanswered. I no longer feel this vehicle is safe for my family or small children due to the nature of the recalls involving seat belt safety and occupant protection during crashes or rollovers. …

On a brand new vehicle from day one the driver's side seat belt disconnects at random times despite being correctly buckled and fastened. It happens during standard driving conditions even when simply maintaining a steady speed. This is life threatening for my wife. We have taken it to the dealership multiple times, and they refuse to address it because they cannot reproduce it on their short few minute test drives. I have seen multiple posts from people online facing the same issue. For others it is often in the rear seats, but in our case the issue is for the driver themselves (the most often occupied seat). I do not trust that these seatbelts would protect in the case of a collision when they can't even stay buckled at a steady low speed. There are no warnings shown and the car is registering no fault codes. Again, let me emphasize, this car was brand new when these issues occurred. …

I am submitting this complaint to report a serious safety issue involving the driver's seat belt buckle in my vehicle. While driving, the driver's seat belt buckle failed. Specifically, the buckle un latched and it was then unable to re-latch after that. Making it impossible to be securely buckled while driving. There was no previous warning that the seat belt would fail. This occurred while the vehicle was in operation and created a significant safety risk. The failure of a primary safety restraint is extremely concerning, as it compromises the driver's ability to operate the vehicle safely and increases the risk of serious injury in the event of a collision. This issue appears to be a defect in the seat belt buckle mechanism, not the result of misuse.

The front passenger side seatbelt buckle holder stopped working randomly after driving in our 2024 Hyundai Palisade which is 2 months old. It worked correctly on a 5 minute ride. And when we got back into the car the red "Press" button was stuck in a recessed position. My wife could not buckle her seatbelt. It would not stay in. There was nothing dropped into the buckle receiver and it was taken to the dealership and a new buckle receiver has been ordered. This is extremely dangerous and I have lost all confidence in the seat belt buckles throughout the vehicle. I have small children, and I'm glad we were on a short drive and did not get into an accident where my wife could have been ejected from the car from a faulty seatbelt.

The car has two safety recalls and Hyundai has not bee able to provide us with a safe vehicle to drive. NHTSA Recall Number 26V034000 does not have a remedy and NHTSA Recall Number 25V607000 we are still awaiting parts. We have called our dealership and Hyundai Customer care for a solution. We are told they have no available seat belts to make the repairs. We have asked multiple times for a loaner or rental vehicle but we are told there is nothing available for us. I was told today we can rent our own vehicle and they will reimburse us $60 per day. A comparable vehicle is $157.50 per day to rent. My family is not safe in this vehicle and we need a solution.
