At approximately 33,188 miles, an "AWD System Problem" warning appeared on the instrument cluster of my 2019 Honda CR V AWD. Darrell Waltrip Honda in Nashville, TN scanned the vehicle and retrieved DTC C1851 1E, which indicates a rear differential pump motor high current fault. The dealer misinterpreted this code and advised that the AWD control unit (Part No. 48310 5TG H52) needed replacement, but stated the vehicle was safe to drive so repairs could be completed at my home dealership in Lexington, KY. At Don Jacobs Honda in Lexington, KY, the same DTC C1851 1E was correctly interpreted as a failure of the rear differential pump motor, which was then replaced under warranty. No AWD control unit replacement was required. Honda Service Bulletin 23 031 ("AWD Light ON: DTC C1851 1E / DTC C1851 18 Stored") documents this rear differential pump motor issue for 2020-2021 CR V AWD models. …

The fuel injector valves started leaking resulting in a P0172 Rich Fuel mixture diagnostic code. When fuel injector valves leak gasoline into the engine oil it can cause an engine fire, severe damage to the engine and catalytic converter. My daughter was driving the car when this happened which makes me very upset that a known safety issue has not been addresses by the NHTSA or Honda. This effects millions of CRVs which is why Honda is fighting a recall and why the NHTSA must step in and fine Honda and force a recall. The potential for engines catching on fire should result in an immediate recall. When I talked to the Honda shop manager he told me that he is seeing several CRVs every week with faulty fuel injectors and quite frequently bad catalytic converters. This is a well-documented problem which makes me wonder why nothing has been done.

7-16-26, I was driving on the highway. All the warning lights on the dash lit up. The car dropped down to 20 miles per hour. I tried to speed up, but could not. It is experiencing an extended crank, sever stuttering and engine stalling. It has actively thrown code P0087 for low fuel rail pressure. An independent service center confirmed the code P0087. The dealership performed diagnostic test and confirmed code P0087. The component was part of recall: 21V-215. There were no other warning lamps, messages or symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. My car is currently at the dealership because Honda has denied the claim. I have a 3 day free loaner from the dealership. I have escalated to Honda Corp. I will need a car for longer than 3 days while I wait for the escalations department to make a final decision.

While driving the car at highway speed the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power to all essential functions. The engine shutdown and there was no steering and loss of some of the brake functions. Multiple warnings started showing ( too many to list here ). The car came to a stop partially in the highway and we experienced several near misses by passing vehicles before we could get enough assistance to push the vehicle out of the roadway. Since this incident a simple search has shown that this is a very common problem with this vehicle. It appears that it could be a problem with the computer software. This problem has a very high potential for serious injury or death when it occurs while driving at highway speeds. Please look into this issue as soon as possible.

The car was running perfectly fine we were going to load some things into the trunk my wife was backing up and the car began to shake. All the sensors were in error: power steering, brakes system, high beams, tire pressure, tpms, engine light and some other sensor. The emergency brake was activated and we were unable to remove it, the brake light was flashing on the dashboard. The vehicle turned off and wouldn't turn on. The vehicle had its battery checked and was fine. The vehicle has been taken to a Honda Dealership for diagnostic testing.

My sister was driving on a highway going about 65 mph, and the rear cv axle suddenly snapped. A Honda dealership inspected the vehicle; they determined the root cause to be the rear differential engine loosing power, causing strain on the rear axle. There were no warning that the differential engine lost power.

On 2/7/2020 I was operating my crv, made a left turn into driveway of tavern/restaurant, 1080 e. Philadelphia ave., gilbertsville, pa. 19525 and pulled into the first parking space about 10 feet from street. I slowed down to almost a stop approx. 2 feet from concrete parking block, my foot was on the brake and engine accelerated very high causing the vehicle to jump the parking block and striking the restaurant wall. Approx. 8 feet from parking block. My wife asked me what I was doing and I pointed to my right foot on the brake. No one was hurt and very minimal damage to wall. There was a police report to douglas twp. Pd. I spoke to piazza Honda dealership where vehicle was towed to and manager said that I most likely had my foot half on brake and half on gas pedal. I also gave same story to allstate insurance. …
