Windshield wipers ? (wiper motor control?) - issue has been happening intermittently - but frequency of events is increasing -when lever is activated to wash windshield ? The wipers continue to wipe ? May or May not stop ? Sometimes have to turn car off when they are in down position -when lever is activated to intermittent mode ? The wipers will periodically wipe 2, 3 or more times and then return to a single wipe and then the multiple wipes May start again -when lever is activated to normal or fast speed ? The wipers work with no issues -rear windshield wiper ? No issues ? Works normally.
About 2 months ago my passenger front window started going up very slowly. Then it began to not come up every few day. It would go down like normal. About two wweeks ago it went down by accident and has not come back up. I cant drive it now because we are having bad weather in memphis, tn. Ive been researching and saw where others have had ths same problem with no resolution. I have not pics because it will only show the window down.
During the last three cold weather spells (temperatures below 32f) the windshield washer nozzle is freezing up and will not work. As a result the salt spray covers the windshield and significantly impairs visibility. I took the CR-v to the Honda dealership service department and was informed that there are a number of people with the same complaint. Per the service representative, not only are the nozzles freezing, but also the washer hoses leading to the nozzles under the hood are frozen as well. He indicated that there was nothing that I could do to prevent this from happening. I believe that this is a design flaw since I have had other Honda vehicles that did not have the same problem. In fact, none of the other cars that I have previously owned had this problem. When I questioned about a recall, I was informed that there was none for this particular problem. …
This is the third winter with our 2007 Honda CR-v and there is a huge design flaw affecting the proper functioning of the windshield wipers during precipitation in cold weather. The snow and ice builds up in the large well beneath the wiper blades, causing the wiper blades to get stuck on this snow and ice, as well as the frozen precipitation sticking to the wiper blades. We have to constantly stop, get out of the car and break up the ice and snow from the well and the wiper blades in order for them to function correctly and safely. It's outrageous that a car that can be purchased with 4wd, clearly meant to be driven in snowy areas, would have this severe design flaw! Honda really needs to address this flaw with a design solution to this problem that can be installed on this car!
The side visibility on my 2007 Honda crv is dangerous. I have never had a problem like this with any of the numerous vehicles I have owned. This has happened multiple times at a variety of speeds. Regardless of how I set the side view mirrors, I have nearly caused collisions because of the 'blind spot.' because I am aware of this design deficiency, I am as careful as possible when changing lanes, I use my signal, look in the mirror, turn my head and then look in the mirror again. Nevertheless, this is not sufficient. This does not happen when I drive other vehicles. If there is some device that can be added to the car I would suggest doing so.
The windshield wiper intermittent setting did not work and then when the rain stopped, the wiper off setting did not work right away. Eventually it stopped working, but the windshield wipers did not "park" in the proper position. The wiper blades stopped in the middle of the windshield, thus interfering with vision. This happened repeatedly after several attempts to turn them off in the correct parked position. It was frightening to have this happen at a high speed on a wet road surface with poor visibility due to the position of the wiper blades.
Windshield washer nozzle freezes up making it impossible to see clearly in freezing weather. I even stopped at autozone and poured in new washer fluid rated down to -20 below and drove car for 2 hours constantly trying to spray the front and rear washer but none came out. Windshield was smeared with road salt and debris making visibility very poor. Next day when temps went over freezing the washer started spraying again.
