The windshield washer system on this 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport-L does not function as designed. The washer fluid is released from the wiper-mounted nozzles only when the wiper blade reaches the near-vertical (upright) position, rather than distributing fluid across the windshield during the full wiper stroke. As a result, the majority of the fluid is dispersed laterally onto the driver-side and passenger-side windows rather than onto the windshield surface. This was first noticed during an initial road trip when the wipers failed to adequately clear insect debris from the windshield. The suspected cause is a check valve failure in the washer fluid delivery line. Without a functioning check valve, fluid drains back to the reservoir between wash cycles. …

New, 2026 Honda CRV purchased on 07/02/2026. The washer system doesn't adequately clean the windshield because the washer nozzles are mounted on on the wiper arms and are timed poorly. During our 1st highway trip on 08/13/2026, visibility was impaired due to an obvious, unsafe windshield wiper design. My spouse and I were on a 60 mile return trip to our home during darkness and realized the wipers were rendered helpless due a windshield covered w bug debris, fortuneately we were able to arrive home safely. The driver's side wiper at the very top of it's cycle (verticle position) sprays the wash over the top/side of the car and doesn't spray at all at the driver's line of view. The passenger wiper does the same, sprays at the top of the wipe cycle, but the driver's side wiper wipes over a little residue left behind on the down cycle. …

This happened mid-Jan 2026. I started my car with the key to remote start to start defrosting it. I noticed that my driver side mirror was cracked vertically. There was no other damage or any spot that would have been an impact point. It had not been there the night before. It's available for inspection. The mirror is still usable but since it has a crack it is distorted and it takes longer to check my mirrors/blind spots before changing lanes. I looked it up online because I haven't had the car for very long. I saw many examples of people having the same issue and there vertical crack looked the same as mine. It has been an issue on CRVs for a few years and some people were able to get it covered under warranty. I did take it to the dealership and they claimed it was not a Honda bulletin yet so it could not be covered by warranty at this time. There were no warnings/etc. …

The CRV is exhibiting enormous heat reflection when driving in the Sun with temperatures at 80F. The windshield has issues with light streaks when it rains a little. Heavy condensation and dirt build up on exterior of the windshield causes driving very difficult and unsafe on the road. The windshield has light distortion or blurry vision. The windshieldwipers do not clean the windshield and leaves a lot streaks on it which distorts the vision. I reached out Honda and the dealership Hendrick Honda on day two of the delivery of the car. Honda is very unresponsive and never ever tried to solve the issues. They challenged me to report the you guys as well by stating nothing will happen on my complaint to you. I paid over 41000 dollars for the car to fear driving it due safety concerns. I request the Authorities to look into this matter and direct Honda to fix my car issues. …

Re; Honda CR-V Ex-LVIN: [redacted] Purchased [redacted],From Auto Nation Honda, Dulles, VA I have noticed an issue with the windshield wipers and the timing of the water disbursement, where more than half of the windshield, on the right side, does not get water. When operating, the blades start moving from right to left. The right blade passes by about 55% of the glass before the water begins to disperse. The left blade moves to the edge of the glass, and the water is disbursed for the last 2 or 3 inches of the glass and providing no help for the rest of the windshield. This is a Major Safety Issue, especially during the winter months with snow, salt or sand on the road and other cars spraying all that on my windshield while more than half of the windshield is not receiving water to help clean it. …

The washer fluid doesn't come out until the woolies have gone completely across the dry windshield and then throws the water off the side of the car. The water comes out once the wiper is straight up. The dealer says it's working because water comes out even though it doesn't come out until it's anyway gone across the window.i had mud on my windshield from a truck in front of me and when I tried to wash it the mud just smeared on my window. My research on it said it's just a $5 fix with a valve that closes and allows the water to stay on the line but they won't even listen to me. Posted a video on Facebook and half the people say theirs is broken like mine and others say theirs works properly not like mine. So there's clearly a difference.

I have reduced visibility due to the fact the windshield washer spray is not directed at the middle of the windshield. Because of the design of the washer nozzle being part of the wiper arm, the spray does not dispurse on the windshield until the arm of the wiper is in a vertical position near the edge of the driver side window, hence 90% of the fluid flies beyond the side of the car. The little bit of fluid that does dispurse on the window causes smears which further reduce visibility. I have owned many vehicles and never had this issue. I have been reading more and more complaints about this same issue with this make and model. This needs to be fixed immediately as visibility is obviously a huge safety concern.

Feb 2026

The vehicle's defroster system and wiper sweep are unable to provide sufficient visibility in winter weather. At 10F at speeds of 65 and below, the wipers stay frozen. The defroster cannot defrost the wipers or the left and right areas of the windshield. Instead, ice builds up on the sides of the windshield. The frozen wipers cannot clear the windshield from splatter since the wiper fluid is passed over by the frozen wipers. This is unsafe. Even in town driving doesn't doesn't provide enough heat to the windshield. I saw no other cars with ice build up like mine, and my car is brand new. I submitted a complaint to Honda Motor Company and my dealer and have received no response.
