While stopped at a red light I thought a car was rolling back into me. I took my brain a hot second to realize maybe I was rolling forward into him? But no, I told myself, my foot was on the brake and was pushing as hard as I could once I thought it was me (yep, should have hit the parking brake, but it all happened super-fast). I rolled into him, the light turned green and he pulled ahead, I got aside him rolled window down to ask if his vehicle was standard as I was still convinced he rolled back into me. Needless to say he said no and pretty much ripped me a new asshole for tapping him - I apologized and said "i thought you rolled into me". Brake hold is always on but I was not using the hold, my foot was on the pedal (pushing like a madwoman at one point).
I leased a 2024 CR-V Sport Hybrid in April 2024. And in early October I backed out of a parking spot. When I applied the brakes there was no response and I back into a parked car. No damage was done to it but I had an estimate of $2000.00 to mine since it was on the hatch back door. I didn't report it because I thought it was my fault. But on Friday Nov. 29, 2024 as I was parallel parking I reversed into the spot and straighten out my vehicle. I put it into gear and started moving forward about six feet slowly. When I went to apply the brakes nothing happened again and I hit my wife's car in front of me. The CR-V Owners Club has reported a similar incident.

The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,700.
Steering wheel issue: I had a similar issue with my old 22 Civic. Now it's a known and common problem, it's hard to make small adjustments. It may not be related to the speed or the use of LKAS. There is no warning on the dashboard. Brake pedal: Randomly I feel friction on the pedal when I press it. Like the steering wheel issue it starts to happen and disappears. No warning messages. LKAS giving false warnings, especially when going backwards.
The contact owned a 2022 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving and attempting to park the vehicle, the vehicle independently accelerated and crashed into a fence and a generator on a residential property. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard, where it was inspected by Check Collision and diagnosed with a brake malfunction. The vehicle was declared a total loss by the insurance adjuster. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 9,379.
I got car accident on 12/22/23 due to brake failure. I was at Stop Sign - zero mph (at Parking Lot near shopping mall in Concord, CA), suddenly my car unexpectedly revved and lurched forward. It then jumped the parking curb. I had to control on steering wheel to the left because the right side was Chinese Restaurant. I tried to brake and press on "P". They did not work. My car hit one of the car that parked there. Then the car was stopped. The airbag was deployed. I talked with several people that have Honda CRV Hybrid, they have same problem on the brake and Honda did not take any responsible and I feel this is not safe for me and for people that drive same road with me. I might hit more people if I still own this car. Note: I have this car less than 2 years so I still owe the bank. Note: My car was not on fire but it was smoking came out from steering wheel. …
