There are times when I don't know if my vehicle will start. I put the key in and sometimes it starts right up and other times, I have to keep turning and turning and wait until it will catch on. There were times where I had wait up to an hour for my car to start. I never know when because I don't have an indicator when the vehicle will decide to start. There have been times when it would work fine for one month with no incident, then it will not switch on. Seems like when I take it to the shop, that is when the car decides to act right. And the service stabilitrac light has been on since I purchased the vehicle only to find out that I need a rack and pinion. I really think the ignition switch should be recalled. I contacted the dealer and they informed me that my vehicle was not on the recall list. Updated 09/15/15
My vehicle just suddenly stopped dead, in the road after leaving my residence and all control was lost. Unable to put transmission in neutral to push vehicle off road. I had it repaired by a trained mechanic and was told it was a faulty ignition. I had the faulty ignition replaced and the vehicle was operational again along with the worry of this happening again.
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 GMC Envoy. While driving approximately 35 MPH, the power steering failed without warning. The steering wheel became extremely difficult to turn. The vehicle was driven to an independent mechanic, who replaced the power steering motor. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 87,000.
Just bought my used Envoy 7months ago and started pouring out power steering fluid. Got an estimate for 4 power steering lines and oil coller for a total of $1497 + tax. I've never had a vehicle that I had to add power steer fluid to. Seems like a dangerous situation.
When starting the vehicle it turns over as if it wasn't going to start then it starts then put it in drive and it revs up without moving seems like its going to to pull out but barely moves while driving down the highway in curves it p pulls tords traffic like real hard my drivers side mirror hit someone On a corner because of the suspension the going up and down hill it almost put me in the ditch because of jerking
For more than a month my truck has cut off completely as I begin to break when I I am coming to a stop or when I am making a turn into a parking lot or at a corner. Sometimes it happens several times in a row during one trip. It always happens when I am in motion but once I turn on the hazard lights, put the car in park, turn off the ignition and restart it, it cranks right back up. I was told, based on my description that it could be a manufacturers defect in the turndown solenoid switch or sensor associated with the automatic transmission. This is a safety issue but I need my vehicle. This problem always occurs when I am on a city street. …
The contact's grandmother owns a 2005 GMC Envoy XL. The contact stated that his grandmother was driving 45 MPH and while slowing down to take a curve, the steering became very firm. She was able to safely pull off the road and turn off the vehicle. The contact said she heard a whining sound coming from the power steering pump and then observed the power steering fluid in the engine compartment and power steering fluid on the road. The contact stated that she was unaware of any warning lights. The contact took the vehicle to a local service station and filled the power steering pump reservoir and drove the vehicle to her residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the power steering fluid was still leaking from the vehicle. …
This suv made a loud sound, began to drift, in the rear, at hwy speeds before it tipped over and began to roll, ejecting my two minor sons from the passenger cab before it eventually landed on its side. the roof was molded in a triangular shape, preventing it from resting on the roof as it tilted back onto inside and remains after the last roll The triangular shape was created in the metal after the stabilizing structures gave way almost immediately providing possibly no protection to the patrons inside the carrier cab of suv. demonstrating its inability protect its occupants.
