What owners report
Good Year Adventure All terrain M&S LT 275/70R18 load range E DOT [redacted] these tires came on my brand new 2022 Ford F250 bought at a Ford dealership in Colorado Springs February 2023 I drove it off the lot with only 67 miles on it. The truck as been driven 99% of time on paved roads with a unpaved county road here an there. The problem I am having is with all four mounted tires on the truck I noticed at approximately 9,000 miles the tread was peeling/chunking looking very rough & wearing fast for being so new. On October 16, 2023 took truck into dealer where I bought it at with 9,556 miles after returning from my trip they agreed it was unusual looking passed it off for me to contact Good Year which they looked at and said same but not willing to do full replacement of tires. …

That should not be happening with only 9,628 miles driven on the majority of highway miles with the vehicle only. The tires are original equipment to the Ford F250 purchased in February 2023. The vehicle was taken into the Ford dealership on 18 October 2023 dealers kicked it over to Goodyear manufacture called and had a tire inspection done at a local Goodyear dealer they agreed there was a problem with the tire but are not wanting to fully replace the tires.

The driver decided to continue driving the vehicle to his destination with the faulty tire. The contact stated that her husband drove the vehicle to a tire shop and had all the tires inspected. The tire shop replaced both rear tires. The contact stated on 1/15/2022, while her husband was driving 40 MPH and towing the 17-foot RV, the vehicle experienced the vibration again. …
After hitting a bump/pothole on the road a violent shaking took place throughout the vehicle, the steering wheel shook violently. I was able to slow down to approximately 10mph and the vibration stopped. I then continued on my journey. It happened another 5 times. This happened in a construction zone with no where to pull off. Through sheer strength I was able to control the truck, but vehicles behind me had to slow down as well. No inspection done as yet, vehicle going to dealer on 03/07/2022. Online reports of something similar called "death wobble". No inspection by police or insurance. No warnings or warning messages etc.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250 equipped with Cooper Tires, Tire Line: Discoverer AT3, Tire Size: 295/60/R20, DOT Number: (N/A). The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH and hauling a trailer, the vehicle jolted into oncoming traffic and started wobbling. The contact regained control of the vehicle and eventually steered to the side of the road and parked the vehicle. The contact continued driving, and the wobbling became controllable at speeds under 50 MPH. The vehicle was taken to the residence, where the contact observed that the driver's side front tire had tire separation in the middle of the tire. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire failure mileage was 37,000. The vehicle failure mileage was 52,000.
I loaned my F250 to my son to move his furnishings from his apartment in Chicago back to Iowa. Once he got on the interstate, the truck began to shake violently causing him to feel he would lose control of the vehicle. The only way to stop it was to pull over and stop the vehicle. This could have resulted in severe injury or worse. I am beyond furious, upset and am going to escalate this known problem in any way I can including media watchdogs, social media, etc. After a short search on the web, I find out it is a known defect but nothing has been done by Ford or your organization. My truck had 12,000 miles on it...nothing should be worn out and in no way should there have been a safety danger to my son by driving it. I would like communication from your organization immediately as Ford tells me it is up to you to issue a recall and you have not done so. …
On 12/2/2022 at ~9:30 AM I was westbound on Interstate 40 in SW AZ. Traffic was average, road was clean and dry. My right front tire clipped a small pothole. The front end of the truck began to shake then became a violent, out of control thrashing. I grabbed the oscillating steering wheel with both hands to avoid changing lanes and hitting other vehicles. I tapped the brakes to shut down the cruise control. But my truck continued the violent shaking and the steering wheel wasn't much help. Only after I had let my speed drop dramatically did this incident began to subside. Eventually I steered onto the shoulder and it stopped. I needed a few minutes to regain my composure to exit I-40 and return home at 35 MPH.
